I heard its one of the worst in town ! Most of the stylists are straight out of school . In all fairness,I have never been there . Just what goes through the grape vine .If you want a great place with skill go to Shear Perfection.

You are laughable. I just went there last night and they are not closing and the building is not for sale. The sign in the window is actually a sign saying the were voted best salon. Go look for yourself. These girls are great and if you don't like it then don't go. They are plenty busy and do not need the likes of you anyway.

Best Salon ? Please tell what makes it best ,Salon . Most likely a sign by the owner. Now that's laughable !

that's a very nice place. Have my hair done there weekly. THEY ARE NOT CLOSED! Oh I forgot to mention. The salon behind yum yum had their floors waxed and the Mexicans set all the chairs outside and somebody came along with a truck and stole them. Now you will have to stand up to get a perm.

I hope whoever you go to to get your hair done messes it up so there is no fixing it. You my dear have no class!! To call "beauty professionals" uneducated people, you must be crazy!!!! I would love to fry your hair off!! Hopefully your daughter does not take after you and your opinions if she does I feel sorry for her, most of all for having a mother like you!!!

Look at who is in the beauty profession. Most of it's "professionals" do not have the mental capacity of a 6th grader. Any intelligent person knows that if your daughter is just not bright then beauty school is your best option. Luckily my daughter is gifted and already taking college courses ,however if she was not I still would not allow her to be a hairdresser. It is a one way ticket to living on public assistance in a trailer park. The behavior on this forum illustrates the white trash mentality.
It do find it amusing to read though.
Sorry if I insult you ladies but I speak the truth.

I'm a guy and a very close friend of my wife and I has her own full service salon. I'm not going to name names, but this lady is VERY successful at what she does. She is a BUSINESS OWNER, with an accounting degree. If you are going to run a business, you'd better have the know now. She has 5 people working for her and is the primary breadwinner for her own family. She doesn't just "manage" her salon either. She is the head stylist there.

BTW, my "trailer park" friend lives in a 3,500 s.f. house in Center Valley which she had built and paid off in 10 years from running her successful business. She also has several rental properties.

Sorry, but you sound like a very jealous, angry individual.

I, as I am sure many professional beauty professionals, resent this comment. I may not have gone to college, not because I was not able, but I didn't want to. I was an honor roll student in school. Getting my 1250 hours at the Upper Buck Vo Tech was what I needed to get started in my career. Now, being in my career almost 23 years, it is amazing when I hear comments like the above you posted. Gum chewing, gossip mongers are out there, but the professionals I know are not like this. Not only do I work 40+ hours performing beauty services, but I also do all web based design and marketing for the salon. I attend regular classes throughout the year to grow my knowledge base.

I think your idea of only dumb trailer trash become hairdressers is way out there. FYI, not ALLOWING your daughter to be a hairdresser - shame on you. Kids should be allowed to make their decision on what they want to do for their future. When parents make that decision, kids may fight it and resent their parents.

Anyone who wouldn't "allow" their child to pick a career they might love is dumber than dirt. When someone loves their job, they'll learn everything they can, work hard, and be successful, or at least happy. You just proved you're a terrible parent.

Well, first of all, that "gifted" stuff is a bunch of crap! I know of a woman who had a "gifted" son in high school and several years later ended up in prison for rape. And second, I know quite a few people in the beauty profession who drive around in BMW's and Volvo's. Most college grads can't even do that. So, you really don't speak the truth. You just speak out of your behind!

Lets get real here.Beauty school is usually a fall back for low achievers & kids who were either too stoned or lazy to study in high-school.There are no Einsteins in this area of work. The good ones certainly are gifted creatively but they are few & far between.I have not met one in Quakertown yet.

If you want to "get real", half the kids who go to college, do it so they can get out of work for another 4 years. Then they're pissed off because they can't find a decent job after college.

Why would anyone think this is nuts? It seems perfectly like a perfectly reasonable gift to me.
