Thank God I went to parochial school where the focus was education, faith and respect. Maybe if the school district put the money in to this type of endeavor, rather than worrying about grass, our children would be more prepared for life. I love sports, played them very competitively all through school, I know they also teach a valuable life lesson in sportsmanship and hard work. but, true life begins when they walk off that expensive field. You should be asking the school district if they are putting this type of money into the "maintenance" of your child's real education... in the classroom. Feel bad for the taxpayers that will ultimately foot the bill.

I'm shocked....SHOCKED with the results of this study. The entire community knows what the results were going to be. The Board just spent hard earned tax dollars as window dressing for a turf field. In 6 or 7 years, while we are still paying for the original field, we will be asked to foot the bill for a replacement.

Maybe the teams and their parents should raise the money for these fields and the up keep. I'm sick of ALL our tax money going to sports. We need to cut back on all the sports.I will soon have to sell my home because I can't afford the taxes, and I'm sure I'm not the only one!!!

All improvements to fields/facilities used exclusively by the school athletic department should be funded by "activity fees" paid by the athletes or private sponsorships.

All improvements made to fields/facilities used by the public at large should require approval by voter referendum prior to using public funds.

I encourage you all to attend the next meeting and voice your displeasure at not only this waste of money on a "study" but also the huge waste in a turf field. This is a joke..

For years I didn't have children but I had to pay school taxes. Now I have children and I still pay those taxes. Everyone does, it's life. If you have to sell your house just because of taxes you shouldn't be streched that thin to begin with. Thanks to people like you we had the biggest housing market crash in history! Thanks pal...

Sure! Hey Billy you didn't pay you fee to play baseball today. Sorry you need to get off the field so the paying kids can play. Nice idea! Bet you kicked small animals when you were a kid.

Ok, so the fields are beat up. I get that. But when we were kids we played sandlot football. It is called sandlot cause guess what; it's not a nice manicured field made for professional players! You would get taken down and when you got up you pulled the small stones out of your arms and went back for the next play. Yeah I want my children to have a nice place to play don't get me wrong but turf, come on. College maybe; not high school.
