It has been reported that St. Luke's may build a new hospital in Milford Twsp. and turn the current hospital into a Mental Health Facility. Thoughts on having a Mental Health hospital in the community of Quakertown?

It's no different than Penn Foundation in Sellersville. It will also mean more jobs.

Hey, we already have Tri County Respite on Broad St.

This will be a hospital, not a prison for the criminally insane.

Put them out in the country to fend for themselves. Thats the only way they will learn coping skills.Drugging them & taking care of their every need does nothing for them & creates total dependence.

you guys on here do not know How many People need pysch help,,,, Veterans and All,,, in the Hospital aspects 85% is geared towards helping the mentally sick People the remainder 15% is toward's the Really sick people who need a hospital not you pussy's who call 911 cause ya do nto feel like making a Doctor's appointment for your common sickeness that does not need Er Room time. If you poster's here would read up more about the new Healthcare Law's and not Obamacare then ya might know something ( Oh Wait Yall live in Quakertown and Have no Clue except to bash here) The New Law's will hurt every one oh ya When ya Call 911 for a Taxi Ride to the Hospital for a non serious condition according to the Health Insurance People you will be billed for it and they will not Pay for it no matter how good your insurance is, So Come on People just because a State Hospital Shut done and yes it was more then 3 these People need help also so if St. Lukes Wants to make the Old Quakertown hospital into a Psych Hospital more power to then...... All's I can Say to the above post Research is your Friend Use IT!!!!!!!!

Make sense of this, there are kids and people that need mental health care that aren't just curb kickers corner stalkers ect. There are actually kids that have been bullied tormented by absent parents, ect. So yes I have no problem with a mental care facility that would benefit some people.

They can go to Penn Foundation or Horsham Clinic, neither of which is right in the middle of a residential neighborhood.

I know it will sound callous, but this will bring down the property values of the homes in that section of town.

As a parent of a child with mental issues, having a facility close to home where she can get to on her own would be great. Wish all of you negative people would think a little before you post such negative comments.

You know there are people with mental issues you would never know that they have unless you were told.
