I think Ronnie Green has done a tremendous job for Cooper football. He took over a program that had only won 2 games the year before. In 3 short years he has turned the program around, they have already won 4 games this year and may finish with another win this year, which would give them a record of 5-5 this year. They have only lost to state ranked teams.

You are right bulldog fan!!! Cooper is very lucky to have a man like Ronnie Green working with the kids. You can't get blood from a turnip! Cooper has some good talented kids, but a few can't do it all. It takes more than 3 or 4 kids to win championships. I applaud all he has done for those kids.

Yes Cooper football has become the laughing stock of this area. When most people dont get results at their jobs they are fired, unless you are a Cooper coach. There is no excuse for this years team not making the play offs except lack of coaching. How much more of this are the Cooper fans and kids suppose to endure. When people talk about Cooper football its usually. oh yah the nice field and the program that sucks.
whatever dude

His first year it was supposed to be a rebuilding year. result 2-8

Second year, he had no talent and the kids that played just weren't very good. We just needed the undefeated JV squad to get to the varsity level. result 2-8

This year was to be the breakout year. So far we're 4-5 and have been out of the playoff hunt for 2 weeks already. The seniors will go play a meaningless game at Grand Saline knowing it is their last one. You really want somebody to believe that Runny did anything to turn this around?

My guess is that "bulldog" from the first post is RG himself. He must have had his wife help him spell the words with more than one syllable.

You got to go bro.

I think he might be a great 7th grade basketball and maybe a softball coach. He needs to far away from the big boys.

We can talk all we want, but nothing has been done and it probably want be. Anyone that knows anything about football knows that Cooper should have been much better than they have showed this year.We beat 4 of the worst teams in the state this year and that is crap about loosing to state ranked teams.
RG CAN NOT HANDLE THE JOB AND THE PEOPLE THAT COULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT DONT HAVE THE BALLS TO DO IT.

We will make the playoffs
something to think about

Kingwood, TX

One website predicts next years district to look like this

Cooper
Como-Pickton
Paris Chisum
Bogota Rivercrest
De Kalb
Paul Pewitt

In that district Cooper would need to beat Paris Chisum IMO to go to the playoffs. Remember in the new big school/little school divisions only 2 teams from each district go to the playoffs. And i dont think the team will be good enough to beat Paul Pewitt.

The team loses alot of talent this year and won't be as good next year. But could and probably make the playoffs in this new system. The team has no Wide Recievers they lose Tommy Walker, and Jonathan McGraw, the only remaining WR from last year is Dan Beeler who can't catch a ball to save his life, or kick one lol. Alot of the Defensive success this past year was because of Holden Jenkins making a mess of the other teams blocking assigments and who is gonna replace him and William Tubb and defensive tackles? Jordan Jackson? HA HA yeah right that kid is the laziest kid i've ever met. Landon Rackley should do ok if he can hold back from crying LOL. The team loses all but one starting Offensive lineman. Next years line looks like this Landon rackley (pretty good), Lucas Lehman (pretty good) Jeron Sillivan (below average), Travis Mauldin (average but not a team player), Ryan Copeland (average but is too soft). This o-line has slim to none expirence. If Ronnie Green is smart next year he'll let Ty Huie run the ball a little more cause he can and he's good at it. People running the ball is strong for next year Huie, Montrel Roberts, Zack Harrison, and Demitrius Wilkins. But if you can give me a list of players who can replace Holden Jenkins, Tommy Walker, William Tubb, Kade Kennemer, Trevor Williams, Jacob Vaughn, Jonathan McGraw, CHRIS BALLARD, and Pee Wee Jeffery, and do a good job and make the team better than it was last year I'll admit to being wrong

Not exactly the horses Cooper used to have. I would be willing to say that not a single one of the mentioned kids could have started 7-10 years ago. Maybe Huie, but not at QB.

I would say Holden Jenkins and William Tubb could've played with them. But one thing i've noticed is the lack of the kids wanting to get better themselves. maybe 5 or 6 kids stay after school to lift weights. How do you expect to get better when you leave the school at 3:10 to go sit on your butt.
