Ate there for the first time today. Seems to be mostly sandwiches and salads for lunch, with a lunch special. I had the special which was spaghetti. IT was good and the waitress was very nice and good to make sure our drinks were refilled. I will try it again. Hope it goes over well.

sorry for the wait time but we have been very busy this week and we will do better in the future. and as far as our comfort food it is not the lunch menu it is or dinners on friday and saturday nite and the sunday lunch buffet. and yes the portions are a little smalle on a lunch menu verses a dinner menu.

At least some of the owners are willing to address these comments in the FORUM itself! Good or bad, everyone has an opinion. Kudos to Kelly.

Went there and ate breakfast last week. We (my friends) and I couldn't hear ourselfs talk to one another for a black man was in there trying to talk with anyone who would answer back. He was very loud and we were trying to mind our own business and enjoy eating out. May try it later again.

Please give the SS another chance. I know who your speaking of and we at breakfast just enore him. He trys to butt into our talks also from time to time. Nothing worse then trying to talk with some people and someone from across the room talking so loud.

A lot of silly talk about a serious issue. We are so accustomed to describing someone different than ourselves and for what reason? If it were a white guy disturbing the room would we describe him as such or would we say "a guy was disturbing"? If it was another black guy, would you call him a name such as you do with whites, labeling them as white crackers? We need to stop bad behavior as it only stirs the pot. If someone is disruptive, maybe the behavior should be addressed.

Well I had decided to give the Silver Skillet a try but now I do not think so, just found out that certian elected officials and a few others were given personal written invitations to the what you might say grand opening, well for myself and a lot of others we are just as important as any one of the elected people but guess we were snobed, not good enough to get a personal invite. You know that is what Red,s did when he opened and after that it went down hill, guess it could happen here to, if you do not think enough to invite everyone as you will want them to eat there, then I guess I do not feel good enough to come that to eat.
Well now

It's not like they opened up the Fountainblue. It's a dang old greasy spoon cafe with mediocre food. Anyone who would be flattered by being specially invited to that joint, would be flattered being invited to a 7-11 for a Slurpy. Shows how small a world some live in. Real small. Isn't one of the women who works at the skilit the same one who used to work at Red's? She turned me off Red's the one and only time I went there.

Invite everyone? Are you serious? When there is only a certain number of seats available, it would make no sense to invite everyone.
