Once upon a time there was a tiny town. And in that tiny town rested a complacent mayor who was paid a salary far that almost triple what the average city employee makes. There was not even a municipality to patrol the city streets. Instead taxes were raised and big wig's got raises while public servants lost their benefits and the over paid mayor continues to get paid over 53000 dollars a year while sitting on his big flabby ass.

All b.s. aside this is a huge problem. How in the hell can a town this small pay a person a yearly salary as such when the average income is below half that? Then it trickles on down. The two immediately under the mayor are pulling outrageous salaries. Its outright wrong. Yet this place continues that good ol' boy rule where as long as you are from here you can take advantage of this little town and no person will care.

LOL that didnt help any did it im justme? He has a point but not what you were looking for. I would suggest talking to Mabel Wheat, if you know her, and asking the Library if they have anything. Gracie at the chamber might also be a good person to talk too. I have found these two ladies know a lot about the history of Cooper.

The Pearly Gates at Oaklawn Cemetery.

A ghost inhabits the upstairs over Miller's Drugstore.

If you google Aguirre you will find horrifying stories. Do not go at night or alone. Devil worshipers are very real and have used this cemetery for decades.

Nonsense. It's a lovely place, well maintained by an association and a lovely drive through the state park to reach the cemetery. Well signposted from the road, too. Jesus saves.

Get ahold of James E. Mitchell. He lives in sulphur springs. He regularly goes ghost hunting. He has proof on disc of EVPs. I've heard them, some are pretty creepy. He is tatted up pretty good, he is a bit dark and strange. If you want ghosts, talk to him. He got ran over and died on 1567 back in 2008, so he has a special connection with death.

If he got "ran over and died," how can we "talk to him?"

What is the difference between "ran over and died," and "runned over and died?"

Aguirre Cemetary is not haunted. Half of my family is buried there. That includes my parents.
Most of the people buried there are Vaden's. I thought we might have to move the bodies for Jim Chapman Lake. So let them rest in peace. I was worrying about the high water in that area.
"Inquisitor " hates Jim Chapman. Lololololol

So jealous you are.

Inquistor......you are an azzhole!!!! At least you are consistant!

Poor, looney sara thinks every poster on Topix is "inquisitor" AKA, John.

Aguirre Cemetery may not be haunted but there was reported devil worshiping out there about 20 or so years ago.

BTW, no one is jealous of Jim Chapman...I guarantee it.

I'd love to stay and discuss it, but I am on my way out the door to cook for Meal-A-Day and then later I am leading a Girl Scout troup in a volunteer event. We will be reading to oldsters at the nursing home.

Everybody knows you can change your name here you idiot! I am studying your character, and your personality. Harriet Craig, Pink Escada, razzllebathbone, Truth, are just a few of your names. You don't play a woman well. Just keep your "day job" screwing over Hopkin's County. You had better come up with the money for Chance Ross death. Everybody knows you will have to pay in a Civil Suit. PCJ always did have to pay the family. Mark my word darlin'

Been there, did that, and I got the tshirt!

Do I need to bump up what you said about Jim?? Calling him a "limpwrist" etc?
