Hello everyone. I may be moving to the area soon. Could someone please give me some information about Cooper? What internet, cable, and phone service do you use? Any recommendations?

How about utility provider?

Do you like living in Cooper? Why or why not.

From reading this forum it looks like there are lots of people with thoughts about the town and county - I'd really like to know your likes and dislikes.

Thank you so much for the information!

Delta County is a great place to live. Small town atmosphere, but lots of good people. Don't believe everything you read on this forum. Delta County has a lot to offer. Good people; good schools; plenty of churches to choose from. Grocery store is good. Close enough to larger towns for anything you can't get here, but far enough out of larger towns to maintain the small town feel.

Run away while you can! County can't pay Law Enforcement enough so there is constant turn over of Deputies. Teachers who are worth anything don't stay or wish they could leave. Taxes on land are too high because there is no industries to tax... so home owners take the brunt of it. O' there are some good people here...don't get me wrong...but the bad out weighs the good here! Hope the best for you if you stay,

Please don't use this site to judge Cooper Newbie. Most but not all people on here are just people that like to cause problems and complain. As you see already they turn a simple request for information into a chance to bad mouth and complain. Call the chamber of commerce and they can get you all the information your wanting.

Well this sounds promising. Do tell, what are your plans and what do you bring to the table. Inquiring minds are curious.

Delta County has plenty to offer. There is room for growth, good schools, a pharmacy, Dollar Store, vehicle repair shops, a community health clinic, great people, a couple of banks, quite a few churches, a strong sense of pride and we are located 30 minutes away from Commerce, Sulphur Springs and Paris. The communities are quiet the people caring. There are those who are never happy and think they know how to solve the problems of the world, but you'll find that where ever you live. City and county gov't seems to be doing better than it has in years and have increase wages for its employees two years in a row; that's up from 7 or 8 years without a raise. We have a great news paper and several good places to eat. You need to come by for a visit and check us out.

Newbie, do not let some fool you, Cooper and Delta County would be a nice place if we could get rid of some of the elected rif rafe, that take the tax payers for a ride and claim to be so great, and do not believe any things jadams says for he is in the pocket of all the rif rafe, and has his nose in so deep if they take a sharp turn guess whose nose is going to get broke off.
