Is this not the best Chigger Fest we ever had.....except for the super, too loud music???? Why have it so loud??? You can't even visit without yelling.Other than that it was great.

The gal singing about lunch time made my ears hurt. Her band wasn't so bad, but she was terrible.

The music was the big focus, but it wasn't very good, and much, much too loud.

I guess if you were stoned or snorting coke it would have been better.

The local band was a blast and really enjoyed the small town atmoshpere. The coke float and eats where the best. Be proud fellow Texans! Those will be the only chiggers that dont make ya itch.

I hope it wasn't "Windy cold and the rain". The're pretty bad and thsey are supposed to be there again this year. Please spend the money and hire a decent band while there is still time.

One group was good but I have to agree about the Windy band. I think they are just a bunch of folks that play anywhere someone will let them.
Chiggerfest is gaining ground each year and it's time to get better musicians and let the fest run later on Saturday instead of cutting off so early. Friday nights always suffer because of all the area football games. If Chiggerfest had really good bands, was advertized 'HARD' in the Paris, Honey Grove, Clarksville, Hugo, and Sulphur Springs areas 'and' if it indeed ran late into Saturday night, the attendence could increase several hundred the first year alone. Concessions, kids games / rides / funhouses, hay rides, buggy rides, street dance (night), open grill cooking, dunking booth, special attractions (old car club), gun & knife show (in one of the old buildings), animal kingdom (Jan K Ranch or a couple of Hugo Circus animals), Arts & Crafts show and sale, area school displays, etc... etc... Set up perimeters accessing the square and charge a general admission.

The 'Windy' band was just awful. Entire fest was not too exciting.

The sound was a joke. Sometimes you could hear one instrument, then another. Sparkplug Johnny is more entertaining.

Once again the Chigger Fest messed up by not having Royce Slough there on Friday night. Did not enjoy that music at all.The music Saturday was WAY too loud. But the overall day was great. Good to see old friends and the delicious turkey legs!!!

I too like Royce Slough and was disappointed he wasn't there on Friday night. I didn't care for the music Friday and wonder why why change when they had a good thing. Saturday was pretty good, some of the windy music I didn't care for. Over all, music was ok. Chiggerfest is overall improving and hope music is better next year.

Maybe that Lowry boy could have another hour or two to tune up his guitar.

I enjoyed the chiggarfest, although there should have been more things for the children. Even just as small as a ring toss. More the kids want to hang out, the more parents *will*

I think they should limit the music to real musicians and bands. There is a lot of local talent, and most would play for free. Tired of suffering through the same bad acts each year.Did enjoy the few new acts this year. Your not a real musician or band if you don't play a instrument. Please no more kareokee.

the lowry boy needs to tune up his voice and singing. along with tuning his guitar. i can't wait until next year because he gets worse every year. wonder how much they paid the bands and how much they spent on the sound equipment. better yet, get somebody besides the lowry boy to line up the bands. the sound equipment was terrible. would like to hear other bands beside the crossroads with lowry. he has a different band every year. he' up there every year hollering and screaming in that mike. get him off the stage and it will be a better chiggerfest.
