I've been reading for months and have kept quiet, but what is wrong with our County Govt? If this is true, we're right back where we started. Is this what we want for our county? I'd like to know your thoughts. I don't know these people, but have heard plenty. I'd like to see us fix our problems and get relief from our high taxes. We need solutions and that isn't going to happen if we're headed back down the road we just traveled. Are we saying that she's better than what we've got? And if so, what does she have to offer? Selling souls... that's funny someone would even mention anything about soul's after all are you God? The bottom line is the most qualifying person for this position should be the one appointed. Why is it that it has to be Democrat, Republican, why can't it be for the person who has the MOST EXPERIENCE, you make EVERYTHING so political, but yet you are the ones who probably voted the Treasurer from the get go. And all for the sake of the party.

What has it done for Delta County? It has put us in the worst financial situation ever, we don't even know if we have any money all we can do is hope, that the one who is appointed for this position can do the job... NO MATTER WHO IT IS. I can only imagine how difficult the decision can be when you have "political people" pressuring you. Good Luck to all...

Here is the bottom line. The county needs to vote in the opitional road law and consoladate all the precints into one. The commisioners would earn about 100 per month for meetings and a maintenance supervisor would corodnate the county work and equipment.
We need to put aside the Republican,Democrat thing and elect the people that serve the county best.If we dont do something to lower taxes we all may have to move.

When the Texas Rangers get word of the illegal meeting between Max, Mark, and Carrington, yesterday afternoon, at the Courthouse, there may be a stink.

Also, Judge Newsom has been asked to take Delta County under Judicial Supervision because of all the hanky panky going on in the Courthouse.

I hope Carrington, Brantley, and Moody do jail time.

One more thing there was never an illegal meeting . I have a question to ask , Would there be this big blow up . if the commissioners would have elected a Republican . They flat out elected the one, at this time that has the most experience . What more can you ask of our elected officials .

I applaud Ms London for accepting she can no longer do her job and stepping down - it's the right thing to do. The concern should be that we've seen what has been done in the past and the outcome of it was that we had to hire a CPA to come in and clean up the mess. So why are we going back? What assurance do we have that she will do anything differently? I have to wonder what this is going to mean to Delta County. I also have to believe since the group of men are made up of mostly dems that it only stands to reason they would want one of their own in the Courhouse. Remember, words can come back to haunt you. You know the old saying: what goes around, comes around.

Until Commissioners' Court is replaced, including the judge, it will be politiecs as usual. Nothing will improve, nothing will be better. People wake up and smell roses, not fingers.

Amen on the roads!!! they are horrible. my family was told that if we vote the new commissiner in over here off country club road, that we would have our road fixed. RIGHT!!!! Only the ones with the new houses has the smooth roads in front of their homes. we all get stuck with the chug holes. yes and the front end alinement. this is rediculous. Every day my family has to drive on these rough roads. we shouldn't have to. FIX THEM MARK!!!!
