Well I have never seen so many people that thinks Herb Brookshire is such a angle, I guess it takes a crook to know a crook, but remember he has to get his orders from Pam Derr before he can do any thing.

I don't remember anyone ever saying he is an angel, or an angle, or an angel with an angle. However, I don't believe he is a crook. I would also disagree that he gets order from anyone.

Angel NO! Looking for an angle yes definitely. He is a crook. I knew good ole Herb before he moved here. Shady business practices, didn't pay his bills, got sued and run out of town. He worked the Government with the construction of homes. he even suggested the County default on the loan for the jail. Just walk away. It would have ruined our credit rating for many many years. He and all his cronies will be outed in time. Delta County is poor, we just don't need crooks at the helm.

Oh please informed you spreading false info again. Please get the correct info on the jail thing. And I would still reccoment everyone that can attend the county commisoners court meetings and see for themselves what goes on. They are every other Monday at 9:00 am on the third floor. there is a special meeting this Monday at 9:30 to discuss the county budget which would be good for people to attend before more false info gets spread. Get involved and get informed

and SRJ whatever poltical vendetta you have against the Derrs is your business but please at least try to stay within logic and if you have something you dont like give us facts. If the only thing you can keep saying over and over and over is Derr Derr Derr then we get nothing of value from you

Not sure you have all of the facts straight.....I did hear something about a bankrupt farmer, but don't think Herb was ever a farmer. Also did hear about someone trying to hide the paperwork on the jail payment and when it was due.....that would have put the county in default on the loan and would have ruined the credit rating. Your accusations seem to be misplaced.

Breaking news. Herb Brookshire has to follow the rules too.

A man working for Herbie (who shall remain nameless) got arrested in another town driving Herbie's pickup. The truck got impounded and good ole Herbie had to go pay to get it out. It was loaded with junk, so Herbie (being the good citizen he is) took it to the City dump. When told he'd have to pay to dump. He informed the City workers that he didn't have to pay because he is the County Judge. Mayor Stegall got involved and told him he did have to pay just like everyone else. So, good ole Herbie took the trash and dumped it in his employee's yard. A neighbor complained to Mayor Stegall and the Mayor told Herbie he would have to move it. Mayor tried to file on Herbie for dumping in the city limits. Jay Garrett stepped in and stopped that. Boo on Jay. So Herbie picked up the trash one more time and who knows where he dumped it this time. Probably on some County Road. Two thumbs up for Mayor Stegall for standing for what's right. LMAO

You didn't get your facts straight. It's only news worthy if it's correct. Why do people do this?

I read in the Cooper paper about old Herb going on a fishing trip at Galveston while he was supposed to be going to school. Does the county pay for these trips? I am pretty sure they do.

Does Delta County have the money to send people on fishing trips, all expenses paid?

Also, what relation is Tommy Rich? He is who was driving Herb's pickup when he got arrested for the DUI. Tommy was working at the courthouse as a trustee while he was supposed to be in jail in Huntsville.

Read the Paris News, Friday, June 8, 2012. Headline: County Worker arrested...again. Handyman caught in Judge's vehicle.

Brookshire said, "I knew he had one DWI conviction, but I had no idea he had others, and he would never have been allowed in any vehicle, if I had known about the other convictions. After his arrest, I had to go to Gregg County to pick up my truck. I cost me $300.00"
