Latest on Pig Abuse Video

The company that runs the Iowa farm where an animal rights group caught workers abusing pigs says it's taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I think that was an outrageous performance of abuse I have ever heard of. If those men could do what they did just because they got "mad" think of what they could do to a human being if they got "mad". That is what one person was quoted as saying in the video. Are the ball capable of being abusive to a hguman being, whether it's an adult or child? I think the farm should be shut down also. I can't believe the owners didn't know what was going on because I don't believe the owners are stupid. If they have no regards for any kind of life then find other work that does not involve taking care of animals nor humans. Thanks for reading.

The abuse was horrific in the video and heads should indeed roll over it. I think 3 months was an excessive amount of time to allow the abuse to go on for video purposes before bringing it to public attention. As is usual practice of animal rights individuals, the timing was impeccable with Proposition 2 coming up for vote. If the PETA individual was helping in any way during the THREE MONTHS PERIOD of abuse, he should be held just as liable for not making this public sooner! I am NOT saying it shouldn't be exposed, but allowing it to continue for 3 months at THIS LEVEL for political leverage is just as bad, if not worse, than those doing it for their own sick enjoymnent! I am not affiliated with any hog farms in Iowa, but I have been at or around many for many years and this is NOT the normal treatment I have been witness to. I don't think any leniency should be shown to any parties contributing to this kind of abuse.

THIS TYPE OF ABUSE AND TORTURE HAPPENS MORE OFTEN THAN YOU HEAR OF. I HAVE BEEN AN EYEWITNESS TO FACTORY FARMING ABUSE OF ANIMALS AND CAN LET YOU KNOW THAT HORMEL NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY TO HAVE TO BE HELD RESPONSABLE FOR THIS. THEY ONLY CARE AFTER THE ABUSE HAS BEEN EXSPOSED. WHEN PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF SENT AN E-MAIL INFORMING THEM THAT AN ALL OUT BOYCOTT WILL BE HAPPENING. Why would you thank God for a group who kills 97% of the animals they take into their own so-called shelter? Check the records they turned in for 2007 if you doubt that. If you were taking those vdeos would you have let it go on for 3 months before turning it over to authorities to stop it? I sure wouldn't have! He stated it was happinging ona daily basis, so why wait for the animals to be tortured for 3 months?

I read the terrible story of the abuse of the poor pigs in that Iowa farm and I watched the pig abuse video. Iowa Farm is a very wrong to do this. The company should fire all employeers but only 2 people got fired. that is not enough. I am not happy with that. Their company should shut down so that pigs can get out of that hell hole of a place. I feel sorry for poor pigs.

Treat dogs or cats like that and you will see FELONY charges. For pigs and other farm animals? A SLAP ON THE WRIST. Current laws preclude any farm animal abusing sadist from receiving any thing more than a mere misdemeanor.

Everyone of them people abusing those animals should be arrested and investigated to see how they treat thier own children and to see if maybe they lived in an area where unsolved murder by serial killer had been committed since animal abuse is one of the profiles of a Serial killer.
