State: Arizona weighs decision on new private prisons

Bad idea. Private prisons make money from people being imprisoned so they want more criminals. They have no motivation to educate, rehabilitate, or in anyway diminish recidivism. They in fact encouraged passage of SB1070 as an opportunity to create more women and children prisoners. They also don't want to invest in making prisons more secure...cuts into profits.
