September 4, 2011

A man exited the local Circle K in Coolidge Arizona after completing his purchases. In the attempt to access his vehicle this man was violently assaulted, four to five assailants assisted in the attack. The manís vehicle was stolen only to be recovered at a later date (Coolidge Police Department Monthly Activity Report September 2011, n.d.). The authorities were notified, statements taken, yet the police report is the only existing document concerning the matter. The Coolidge Examiner ignored the event; the following days yielded no account of the incident. The population of Coolidge Arizona had no knowledge of the perpetrators, no warning for future victims.

September 5, 2011

A woman exited the local Wal-Mart in Coolidge Arizona clutching medicine bags for a sick husband. Placing the key into the ignition of a black Saturn Ion, she was violently attacked. Two young assailants tore the woman from the driverís seat, attempted a purse-snatching, and successfully obtained the car (Coolidge Police Department Monthly Activity Report September 2011, n.d.). The authorities were notified, statements taken, yet the police report is the only existing document concerning the matter. The Coolidge Examiner ignored the event; the following days yielded no account of the incident. The population of Coolidge Arizona had no knowledge of the perpetrators, no warning for future victims.

September 7, 2011

Two women exited the local Subway in Coolidge Arizona, children at hand. As they strapped the children into safety harnesses, two young male assailants approached. The women were assaulted and the attackers began to drive away with the young children still in the vehicle. One woman dove into the vehicle and begged for them to release the children. As they complied, the father of the children became aware of the commotion. The father and spouse rushed to the cries for help while the perpetrators fled (Coolidge Police Department Monthly Activity Report September 2011, n.d.). The authorities were notified, statements taken, yet the police report is the only existing document concerning the matter. The Coolidge Examiner ignored the event; the following days yielded no account of the incident. The population of Coolidge Arizona had no knowledge of the perpetrators, no warning for future victims.

September 26, 2011

The month of September 2011 contained no mention of the attacks from media or city officials. The Coolidge Examiner made no effort to cover the story; the City Council did not deem the attacks as priorities of conversation. The City Council held September 26, 2011 included general business. No public statements rose from citizens attending regarding the attacks; most citizens were unaware of any incident ("City Council Minutes September 26, 2011", n.d.).
