WOW! It seems that compared to last year, this storm was just not as bad. It didn't seem to really dominte the news like it did last year--not counting the weather reports. I'm sorry to read how many people have been affected this year. I just hope there isn't as much damage to homes like last year.

who cares about damage to homes, people are dead right now because of this. homes can be replaced lives can't.

Day two without power. Not a utility service truck in sight. I have been out driving around town (slowly) and have been from one end of town to the other and not a service truck to be seen. A call to the utility company and they claim to have service teams coming in from ponca city and pryor to assist. I hear rumors of people having their power turned back on, but nothing for me yet. I did see one service truck drive down in front of our house, he stopped to clip two lines which were hanging across the roads, then got back in the truck and drove on.

You must have some power since you're online...

*Chuckle* I lived in Hawaii for 3 years and I missed this weather.
I like the winters here.
No bugs flying around, no mowing or trimming, Staying home in bad weather, no blistering heat when outside, don't have to run the AC.:)

Ahhhhh winter!!

Last year when my power went out, I had to go stand in line and buy a generator. Not to mention, the Government or the city has recooped me for my losses like they do with the power company.
Can you get a generator?

A phone call to the Stilwell utility office and they say there are crews coming from all over oklahoma and missouri to assist with the power outages. Maybe we can all get this town back on it's feet.
