I'd sure love to have a Publix in Cookeville, but the old heritage Ford location would be a HORRIBLE place for it. Wouldn't make enough money there to last.

Wal-Mart needs some compition, They think they are the only store in Cookeville and Algood, they are not cheep. They are rude and they just don't care, they think they don't have to care, they are so big and powerful.

For everyone's information.Publix is planning to open in Cookeville. No date as of yet.Rumor has it that it will be in 2085 or 86.It will be located next to the Jetson Flying Cars dealership where the old Heritage Ford was.Hope this helps out.

I'm hardly ever in walmart because 95% of their crap is made outside the USA. Old Sam Walton would puke in his grave if he could see the direction his heirs have taken his store.

I shop goodwill and other thrift stores for older vintage clothing made in the USA. And my food and household items come from places other than walmart. I will break down and buy beer from walmart once in a while.

Put your money where your mouth is. cut and paste the email contents on here! I don't believe it. they had an opportunity when bi-lo closed and didn't pursue it!

My e-mail was from Nancy Bowman, Assistant to Bob Burket, Real Estate. Her e-mail is nbowman@publix.com. Contact her yourself.

Hate Big Lots. Had insects in their Ramen noodles. I don't see what is appealing it's so junky. They should be called Big Crap instead.

Maybe Lowes and Home Depot would fight for people to shop with them and their prices would go DOWN.

Lebanon is really just an outlet mall in Nashville that is disguised as an independent town.

Our Big Lots is the biggest piece of crap ever. I've been to other stores in different areas and none of them were dumpy like the one in Cookeville. It seems like everything in ours is broken beyond what could be considered simple scratch & dent but for some reason they choose to keep these items on the shelves.
