Ever heard of the 4th Amendment?

Just a thought.

It is illegal for them to search without probable cause to search. If they are searching you at a routine stop then they either have to have probable cause of they are violating your constitutional rights. Probable cause would be smelling or seeing drugs when you roll down your windows or seeing a weapon in your car. Anything of that nature would constitute their right to search, but not just to be searching.

You must be a lawyer... Sorry your not that smart.
If you had any brain and you knew anything about constitutional rights you would have seen that law enforcement can ask for consent to search bozo. You can deny it but if you say yes then they can search

But they still have to have probable cause to ask.

Not if it is a routine traffic stop. That just says that you were speeding, had a taillight out, had outdated tags, etc. It does not give probable cause to search.

Not true!
The 13th DTF have gotten millions of dollars worth of drugs off the streets after making routine traffic stops on I-40. They then ask for consent to search. If they're turned down they can hold the vehicle till they get a drug dog on the scene that they can then legally walk around the vehicle in question. If he hits on anything then they have grounds for a warrant.
All other local agencies can do the same.

Have you read the 4th amendment? You might want to look over it and the cases that are ruled over it. Look under Carroll (1925)

DON"T BREAT THE LAW AND YOU WONT BT CAUGHT....
And to the dark-disciple the name says it all, you must be very well know by the law? To say something as wrong as one of them being shot while doing their job is just well WRONG. One of these days it will come to a point where one of these officers will save you or someone in your family by a drunk driver, robber, rapiest, or some one with a gun.

My husband got pulled over before here and they outright asked him to pull out his cigarette pack and show them that there were no drugs in it. She had no reason to pull him over, he is the biggest granny driver in the world. She asked him ridiculous things and was so rude to him. Oh man if I were in that car!! But yeah, because our car was bought with tinted windows, we are a target all of the time even though neither one of us does drugs and me & my husband never even got so much as a parking ticket. I think they are great for child seat safety checkpoints, I use those all of the time but that one lady cop that pulled him over and gave him a hard time was way out of line.

Well for me and my children and the one I am carrying I say thank you for your sentiments. My husband is a good police officer and not all of them are the same.

I salute the police officers here in Cookeville!

I swear, there are more wiggers with bad attitudes and ignorant drunk rednecks driving around on a Saturday night than I can handle. I wish they'd pull more of them over.

I'd glady deal with my car being searched once every few months to know that they're being searched to. I'd thank the officer afterwards for doing his job as well, and tell him I understand why he has to do what he does.

After all, I'm not a criminal, and anyone who isn't shouldn't be concerned.

There are a lot of things worst than getting searched believe me. Codos the all the great police officers out there. Sure sometimes it seems they do something that upsets someone, but without them doing so, it could be a lot worse.

I have been stopped and treated nicely by the c.p.d. Their lower level officers are mostly good guys that work hard and do a good job. Its the higher ups over there that are a bunch of dead weight that need take some no dose and go to the house. Some of those deadbeats dont even wear a gun. How u gonna enforce the law without a gun??? They need some new blood leadership that isnt controlled by a handful of rich crooks!
