Well, the topix review board has put a block on Rhonda Chaffin threads, thats not fair. She did wrong and the public has the right to express their comments.

Well, the subject of crooked public "servants" does come up in many many posts. I don't believe Topix wants to ban them all....who would read anything of substance on here if it is allowed to be hushed when it is in the public's interest? In other words, all we need to do is discuss her wherever the subject arrives in ANY postings on corrupt officials and see how many get removed at that point. Cookeville and Putnam county aren't the only towns to post in, either. corruption is like a disease when it is tolerated it spreads..so does the discussion about it.

You are right, everyone does know..at least those who have already read about it on here, or seen it on the News Channel 5's website. They keep their videos available on that site and have "busted" many attrocities in middle Tennessee. However, by not keeping it available then newcomers to the site don't have the opportunity to read the entire history. People doing research into the corruption of the Upper Cumberland are deprived from learning about angles and links to information, as well, and it makes their jobs harder. I think that some of this information that has been put up on here is also protected by the state of Tennessee's sunshine-related laws regarding to transparency of government officials and their dealings. We have the RIGHT to know, in other words. When you realize the scope of the effects that this type of dishonesty has on our costs of living, etc. it becomes even more important to have the information where it is easily found by others in the future, as well. The more the people read about this type of activity the more it is becoming apparent that it is very often centered around the same groups of people doing it.
