Bahahaha! For real...I think this is the question really burning in everyone's mind. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE GROW, BUY, SELL OR BATHE in marijuana, it's gonna be legal soon anyway.

So Mennonites are Christians who dress differently and choose to possibly live differently than you. Other than that, they are people just like the rest of us. I am a Christian, yet I sin every day. Most of you would say your are a Christian or at least were raised in a Christian home. Just because Methodists, Baptists, members of the Church of Christ, etc. are not readily identifiable by their dress or where they live, they are no different than Mennonites. Everything that you have said about Mennonites could be said about members of any other church. Has anyone else that you know been guilty of using or growing weed? Does anyone that you know drink beer or eat free popcorn? We all sin and fall short. Thankfully, God forgives!
Wow well said. Don't judge what you don't understand.

The muddy pond community is only around 50% mennonite,I find it quite amusing that certain people automaticaly think that when weed is found growing there that it belongs to the mennonites. People have been going up there and going back in on they're farms and woods on 4-wheelers and four wheel drives and planting weed for years.I know of it least one of them that found it growing on his property and turned it in to the sheriffs office. These people from Mennonite backgrounds often work long hours 6 days a week and don't blow they're money, they invest in property and business and make a good living, they don't have to grow dope. But some people get jealous and hateful even though they have the same opportunities.

We had reason to go up to Muddy Pond to make a purchase and were invited to join the seller at worship Sunday morning at Pilgrim Fellowship. I thought it was a bit odd as I am a female and was dressed in jeans and a sweater and the seller was in "indicative dress." So assuming she was very new order Amish (they had vehicles, electricity, phone and even cell phones--there is HUGE variation within the Amish world) I thought I would look up the church to see if there was a recommended dress to attend worship (didn't think they allowed women in the sanctuary in pants) and found this thread. Whoa! I agree that when I saw the sellers seemed to be Amish (the purchase we made had nothing to do with "buying Amish", it was just what we were looking for at a fair price and was not advertised with any religious context) some of the other attitudes we came in to contact with regards to the seller did not seem to fit "Amish" (I am from PA), but more mainstream Christian (think JimBob and Michelle Duggar, minus the tons of babies!). Also, Mennonite and Amish are very different religions, just as Methodist and Baptist are very different. Many Mennonites dress, work, live and act like anyone else They are both rooted in Anabaptist, however. As far as beer-- Lutherans are known for good food and good beer! Alcohol is not anti-Christian! Getting drunk is what the Bible warns against. And abuse happens in all denominations--just more often in rural areas, which is *shock* where most Amish live! You could make the same accusations about Baptist churches in rural Alabama and Mississippi.

wow ok umm you obviously have no clue what the heck you are talking about..i happen to live in muddy pond and i love my neighbors and you apparently don't know them well enough to judge them..they're not a cult, they just stand for what they believe and just because it happens to be different from what you believe doesn't make them wrong. it just means they're different from you. child and spouse abuse?? seriously?? since when is their dealings any of your business??? goodness people.. focus on your own pitiful lives and let them be..at least they're happy and don't go posting derogatory comments about people the don't know...that just makes me mad that you would say that about some of the nicest god-fearing people on the planet..

I agree . they also stir trouble for people if they find out that people know about their income tax evasion drug growing shoddy building practtices Also they are not American citizens in MUDDY POND TN most are from CANADA and are here illegally The name of their cult like church is called PILGRAM CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP .They are considered a cult on some sites on the net. Child and spouse abuse are also common in this fanatical cult enviroment.Their clothing is fooling strangers into believing they aresomething their not. Some of the pretenders in MUDDY POND are actually hold overs from an old Hippie commune which lived here. They find that their clothing is good for selling at their stores Be Warned these people are very kind but very decietful in real life.

Something to consider, if the conversion really should come around. It's a shame that bad people will be put in charge of telling them how to grow high THC yield marijuana, should they choose to grow it.

That's a great point, since you're working on a couple of felony charges of your own, you have absolutely no place to complain.
