I agree . they also stir trouble for people if they find out that people know about their income tax evasion drug growing shoddy building practtices Also they are not American citizens in MUDDY POND TN most are from CANADA and are here illegally The name of their cult like church is called PILGRAM CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP .They are considered a cult on some sites on the net. Child and spouse abuse are also common in this fanatical cult enviroment.Their clothing is fooling strangers into believing they aresomething their not. Some of the pretenders in MUDDY POND are actually hold overs from an old Hippie commune which lived here. They find that their clothing is good for selling at their stores Be Warned these people are very kind but very decietful in real life.

Muddy Ponds general store sells fresh food, and in all honesty has great choices too. I had no idea that any of them are drug dealers, but just being Christian doesn't automatically make you right and them a "cult" so give it up god warrior. Every religion is a cult, just some have moremembers. So what if they're dirty hippies who make their own stuff to live on. If you dont like them, dont go there. Why do you think their place is like 30 minutes AWAY from town and way way out a backroad saying clearly you're heading into muddy ponds now.

If you dont like them, dont go there. They seem like peaceful people to me whether its a sin in the bible to make your own stuff and not pay the government taxes on your own land or not.

well you're correct - I don't go there, however I think every person who uses facililities such as the roads etc. should pay taxes like the rest of us for their use and upkeep. The taxpayer has enough of a burden without footing the bill for those who are able to contribute. Btw the person who quoted them as moving land lines is absolutely correct- a coworker checking his elderly mother's farmland found it mysteriously becoming smaller. After a professional re-survey was done, it was discovered those so-called friendly people were taking the old woman's land .

They go to Big Lots and buy the jelly and repackage it under a Mennonite name. Their "farm fresh" produce is purchased from a produce dealer.
"Home grown" flowers are from Knoxville.

what county is Muddy Pond located? Overton ?
The people in Overton dont complain about them.
They seem like good people to me.
Its not easy living the life they live.
To you that are spreading lies and rumors on these people, you should be ashamed. There are always a few bad apples in the barrel but to slander a whole community is just wrong.

No, not rumors-some of this I KNOW is truthful information. Save your "you should be ashamed " statement . Consumers need to be aware of any products or services that are not as they are portrayed including those offered by religious or lifestyle group.

Okay, folks. This is the BIGGEST bullshit I've ever read in my LIFE. Their "farm fresh" produce is grown on their farms, and their flowers, GUESS WHAT, come from the green house, and guess where they get them? Oh snap! Muddy Pond.

Their jelly? They make that too. The sorghum? Yep, They make it themselves. I'd be glad to prove it: just take a drive on up and ask for those things yourself. Many, many of the things they sell is made right there, and I've seen it with my own eyes.

For the person who said they were all Canadian? Wrong. Many of them came here from Lancaster, PA as well as Goshen, IN. I suppose it would be a safe assumption that you know nothing of their background, either.

I've never heard one of them claim to be perfect, after all, they are human, just as you and I. Everyone makes a mistake here and there, also. So before you judge them, take a drive on up, and get to know them.

Never

Never judge a book by one review, because one person doesn't like it, doesn't mean its the worst thing on Earth.

Oh, and fyi: you pretty much HAVE to be going to Muddy Pond to get there, its not like they're hiding, but if you get that far out of town before you realize you're "lost" then there's something wrong with you.

Some of them are from Lancaster. I've been to Lancaster many, many times. The only difference I saw was that their religion was classified as Amish and Pennsylvania Dutch.
