I'm talking about the ones at the window who give you your food, not the ones that take your money. Most of the time they just open the window and hand it to me without even saying much of anything, they don't even look me in the eye, or they carry on a conversation with their coworker. If they do say something, it's like, "Here you go" and shut the window. I'm not one to want customer service people to kiss my a**, but a acknowledging your customer is a basic of good customer service. I don't go there that often but it happens like 90% of the time! This happens more at the Jefferson one than Algood one. I don't have this happen to me at the other fast food places in town.

The last few times I've been in the Baxter McDonalds everyone was RUDE, the girl at the counter actually ask me "if I was going to order sometime today" her exact words. I'm actually told her to get her manager right then because I refuse to have some little high school brat talk to me like that. Then a few days later, I had the same type of issue with an older woman, there computer system was down and they couldn’t process debt cards, but instead of telling me that she just stood there and looked at me like I was stupid when I handed her my card. Like I was supposed to magically know there crap was broken, after that someone finally put up a sign on all the registers informing people of the issue. But it just seems like everyone that works at any McDonalds is taking there anger for having to work in a fast food place out on the customers, if it's that bad quit, there are a bunch of people looking for jobs that would be more than happy to take your place!

Is this really that hard? It's because they're losers and work at McDonald's and they hate the place and probably themselves. But you know, if they hadn't made such poor life choices and done something productive with their lives, maybe they wouldn't be working there. So while I can understand why they might be bitter, I say they need to buck it up and give the customers good service.

Because the Funderburk's don't give a f about any customer service. They own all the McD's here. They don't do shit if you call and complain so the cycle continues.

I must say I disagree, I have spoken with the Funderburks several times, and anytime I have told them about someone being rude they no longer work there a few days later. I'm not expecting McDonalds employes to treat me like I am God, but show some damn respect to people that are patronizing your place of employment. If speaking with the owners isn't getting anything done go above them, call the corporate office. I have done that at another restruant when I went in and it was filthy and the girls where rude, a corporate rep was at the resturant in a matter of days. The Funderburks are all about making money, so if one of there employes are not keeping people coming back there not going to keep them around.

Just from reading the posts on this thread, it appears that someone is trying to make trouble for someone else. It appears in the writings that someone is out to cost someone their job. I have never worked in a fast food restaurant, but I applaud the young people who do. It is such a fast paced environment with constant mult-tasking going on and yes, I do see smiles. I also see young people today that would rather take handouts from parents and have social lifes than to work anywhere as it is beneath them to work in this type of environment. To all the young people who are beginning their work careers in this type of establishment, hold your head high. This will definately help you in the long run as it teaches hard work pays off and it is also building character as you deal with all walks of life.

Why not start first at the establishment with a Manager? I would think this would be better than hiding behind a computer on a forum making accusations or calling in anonymously, or calling in period. I strongly feel that it is everyone's right to be able to face their accuser, so start with speaking to a manager face to face. Just my opinion, and bypass all the drama.

This really works. When the employee hands you the food... YOU smile and YOU say thank you! This always works for me and the employee usually adds have a nice day. Alot of times you have to give respect to get respect.

Maybe it's your attitude. I have been to Jefferson willow and algood locations almost every day for breakfast for the past 3 years and everyone has been nothing but nice to me. Let's turn that frown upside down.

The person getting paid to be there should greet the customer and thank them for their business. Common courtesy and it keeps the customers happy and coming back.

It has zero to due with attitude, like I already said, this never happens to me at other fast food restaurants. If I had such a bad attitude, then I would most likely feel the same about other fast food places, now wouldn't I?

They are rude because they have no counting skills or mental capabilites. If you order more than 2 of the same thing, they get frustrated cuz they can't count that high.
You know what they say, when going to the drive thru always look at your order BEFORE driving away from the window, cuz it will be wrong. the cookeville place can't even tell the difference between a coke and sprite.

I've never had the problem of them getting my order wrong there. I've had problems with them getting my order wrong at Wendy's, but the few times they have they just corrected the problem and apologized. I agree it is definately a good idea to double-check your order before you leave the window, though. I piss a lot of people off sometimes making sure they've got my order correct, but I like to make sure I get what I paid for. I've never been impressed with McDonald's service, anyway. For fast-food, I've always preffered Wendy's, Captain D's, and Burger King back in the day before they turned their burgers to crap and started using that awful oil they use for their fries that make them inedible.

Why does everyone single out McDonalds? There are problems with ALL fast food places. If its that bad, why do you still go there?
