Deposit from Falcon Realty in Cookeville?

Has anyone never got there deposit back from Falcon Realty in Cookeville?

This was a storage locker and I left it clean. So no reason for them not to get my deposit back.

I've been an apartment manager for 12 years,(not for Falcon Realty) so if I could, can I ask you a few questions?
When you moved, did you leave your things inside the storage locker, until it was convenient for you to come back and get it? I've also known people who do not actually live in the apartment, they just used it for storage. You can be charged storage fees until your things are removed.
Did you give a 30 day notice?
Did you owe any past due rent amounts or late fees?
Did they do a "move-out" inspection with you?
Did you return the keys?
Did they have to do any cleaning? Such as clean the carpet, or appliances, bathroom etc?
Were there any damages to the unit? I.E. holes in walls, broken doors or windows, screens etc. that were not like that when you moved in?
All of these are things that a landlord is allowed to deduct from the deposit.( plus more)
However, they have up to 30 days to send you a notice and tell you the reasons they are keeping your deposit along with any copies of bills showing the money they spent to get your unit "rent ready". If there is anything left over from your deposit, you are entitled to have that back. F.Y.I If they fail to do this, you can take them to court, present your case, and many times the tenant will get their deposit back for the landlord's failure to do any of this.

Did they do a "move-out" inspection with you? Yes This was a storage locker.
Did you return the keys? Yes
Did they have to do any cleaning? Such as clean the carpet, or appliances, bathroom etc? Clean a storage locker only. This was only a storage locker.
I didn't get any notice why I'm not getting my deposit back and now been over three months now.

I was wondering if they have a "non-refundable" deposit? Many places have that,it's perfectly legal so long as it's in your contract and signed by all parties.
If Not, then you need to go them and ask them why you haven't received a notice or your deposit back yet. The landlord is obligated to do that. Three months is too long. Take someone with you so you have a witness, they won't be able to speak for you because they didn't rent it, but at least you'll have them there with you. If there's anything that you don't agree with, by all means speak up and ask them to explain. Tell them to put it in writing.

I have known people who rented from them, and all of them had to hound them to get their deposits back. Falcon Realty stinks.

What about reporting them to Better Business Bureau of Cookeville?

Never did get back my money. Falcon Realty is part problem here you truth them.

I currently rent a storage unit from Falcon Realty. Since seeing this post, I pulled out my rental agreement. In clause 5 of the rental agreement it states:
"Clean-up Fee: Management acknowledges receipt of $______ as a clean up charge,$25.00 of which is refundable to Occupant only, if the leased space is left undamaged, empty, and "broom clean" at the end of the rental term, LESS any unpaid rent and/or other charges."
Simply put - Out of the deposit amount you paid,$25 is refundable if you met all these requirements. There are no other clauses that state the deposit BUT I will also state that in clause 2 "TERM" that the Occupant must give a 30 day notice before the end of the agreement.

Well the renter of the storage unit states that they used it only a month so how were they to give a month's notice, unless a month was agreed upon to start.
