It's kind of scary that they're handing these things out like candy. The FDA recommends that nobody be on them for more than three months maximum because of the problems they cause with blood pressure and heart valves.

I been on the program for 6 months, but have only been taking the pills a month, take a month off, then back on them for a month, so total of 3 months, skipping every other- must change eating habits- i cut out all fatty meat, pork, eat chicken and fish only and when i do eat beef, its 93%, 7%..... No sodas, plenty of water. Limited juices, use splenda... I have lost 40 lbs since aug 2010. But I do not go to Dr. X.... I go to Best Weight on Willow going toward TTU, 1/4 mile past Wendys on left (brick building) open every fri and sat (9-4, fri) (9-1, sat).... $30.00. It is a pediatricians office during the week.

I've been going since August and have lost a total of 70 pounds. I've changed my eating habits and don't take the pills every day... I take 1 maybe 2aweek..a month supply last me almost 3 months.. I'm keeping weight off...I hope I don't damage my heart but I'm healthier now then I was ...I tell everyone that asks me how I did it... its a way to help you loose weight but don't go over board, change your eating habits...

I can't believe they're giving a schedule IV controlled drug known to cause heart valve damage out like candy. Outrageous and these doctors should have their licenses pulled.

Well that way there will be an ad on tv with some law firm to sue.I dont know why people cant eat right and exercise. If u lose the wt without exercising u r still gonna b flabby. My friend took diet pills and yeah she did lose some lbs but she was flabby.Everybody got to turn to a magic pill nowadays.I have more admiration for those that do it the old fashion way.

This. People take medication to lose weight without changing a damn thing about their habits (eating healthier, exercising more) so once they get down to their target weight and ditch the pills, they balloon back to their old weight in no time once their metabolism normalizes. I've seen it happen so many times it's almost comical. I know of one person who actually managed to keep the weight off after taking phentermine and her arms are so flabby it's unreal because she lost the weight so rapidly that her skin didn't have time to firm up.

It's not a recommendation, it's a requirement. If a doctor is prescribing them for longer than that then they are breaking regulation.

Actually it is FDA approved. It is just for 3 months to help people in not be so hungry while they are getting use to eating less. It is by far not the only medicine that could cause a serious side affect. There is a acne pill that is advertised on tv that will increase your risk of cancer. Tylenol can cause serious affects has anyone seen the thing on tv about it now call this law firm if you have taken it and this or this has heppened to you. Anyone with a brain should know there is side affects involved. The people that go to the clinic is making there own choice no one is making them. You have to diet and exercise to get your body how it should be. There is no miracle drug out there. but there is some that can help people achieve their weight loss goal. And thats what this clinic is doing.

My girlfriend was a fatty. she chased me around for months. i told her after she lost a good 50lbs we'd talk. cause she really did have a pretty face. she got on those pills and lost 75lbs. she came to me showing off her cute new body. yeah boys! i bang that! Ladies, highly recommend you to take the pills. your man will be pleased, and you single ladies probably wont be single after a few months on them. TAKE A HINT

I live here in a small town called Russell Springs Ky. I was told that this clinic would just weigh you an then give you your pills. I was also told that the total cost is 65 dollars for pills and visit. Is this true? If so PLEASE someone tell me before I make the long trip down there? I'm only about 20 lb's over weight. Which is way to much for me. So is it going to be that easy for me to go to this place, and if so do I need to call ahead an make an appt? I would really appreciate any info anyone could give me. Tell me the address or phone number or anything that would help. Thanks to all.

It's absolutely ridiculous to expect a doctor to give you what amounts to prescription meth for 20 pounds of vanity weight.

I took these things about 10 yrs ago. I lost 40 lbs. but shook like a leaf the entire time i was on them. Could not sleep. my heart starting beating like crazy and scared me. I couldn't breath and had to go to the ER. when i told dr. what i was taking he almost punched a hole in the wall because he was so mad..He said any dr. that prescribes these should have there liscense pulled. I was having a heart attack. thats the part that makes u speed up..it makes your heart double the work load that it is supposed to do..Now i have a ICD installed over this..Unless you want same prob. I advise against these 100%.You are just asking for medical prob. if you take these. Now i can't even work anymore my heart is so damaged. And prob. lost yrs. off my life over them..Its your decision, make it wisley.
