I'd like to know why they're is only 6 dispatchers working at the Sheriff's Dept. Sheriff Andrews? You ask for money to fill your budget and say you need the personal. Then instead of hiring someone you work correction officers and pay them overtime. People are hurting and out of work here in our county. If you have openings, Fill them. That's what the money was put there for. What are you waiting on?
Another thing is, It seems you ask for vehicles every year because you say our deputies are driving unsafe vehicles. Then why do they sit in the parking lot for months before you use them?
Yes, I have a lot of why's to ask about the Sheriff's Office and how you have ran it the past 10 years or so.
At first I really hated to put this on Topix but your so called open door policy has placed you behind locked doors and you never seem to be there when citizens need to speak with you. Maybe it's time for the voters to hear some of these things and maybe they will start asking why also.

Plus he is always asking for more space for inmates, why not use the old clerk's office, remember it use to be the jail. You have asked to use it for office, why do you need more offices?

I think Mr. Andrews is a great Sheriff.
It is a difficult job and would be a tough task for anyone.
He has the experience and moderation to be fair and creative in these ever-changing times.
I think he has preforming the job well without any outside enhancement to affect his decision.

EDDIE FARRIS FOR SHERIFF ........... I think that Andrews time should be up and he go back to being a landlord. Enough is enough. It's not about the job to him anymore. There are to many irons out in the fire and we need someone who will answer our calls or at least call back when we have a question when it concerns the actions of his office. That's not happened in the last 4 years. And this crap about peoples records that are confidential need to stay in the file .... not put out for public display or printed out multiple times and handed out the door by his secretary. Confidential Information and or an expunged record is exactly that...... not to be freely handed out the door of the jail for personal gain of other..... the plan didn't work, it actually backfired on them all. but still thats a bunch of crap to try and give someone an advantage by backstabbing another citizen of this community. Enough is enough. I say we vote him out this term.

I say Eddie has no where near the experience to be the next sheriff. There is wayyyyy more to being an administrator than a simple jailer or drug buster could ever know. Maybe years later but not now.

Really? I agree on the experience part. We now have a jail administrator that's never worked a day in the jail in his life. There are several employee's over there that have loads of experience in the jail and are beyond qualified to run the jail. Sheriff Andrews had rather put one of his good ole boys with no experience in the job with the biggest liability of the whole department. There are a lot of good employee's there that work they're butts off and just get cursed out by his hot temper and get looked over. But then you have the good old boy's that can walk in off the street or get rehired after quitting several times and become Chief Deputy over night. Each to his on but in my opinion it's time for Andrews and his hot head to hit the road!

No, not messed-up, I'll leave that for others. Just voicing an opinion, I didn't mean for you to get your testosterone levels up, so don't go into a rage.

Sheriff, Why do some employee's get fired for being sick? Something they can't help. Then other's are kept after being caught stealing from the tax payers?

Why can some employee's quit, go to other jobs, get ran off from those jobs, come back and then get promoted? Then kick a handcuff prisoner in the head on video and still not loose their job? But others can merely do they're job and get fired?
