Anyone know anything about this place? Seems like its going downhill and I'm not sure it's a good place for my child. There are a few good teachers there, but the others just don't have what it takes to handle several kids.

The main lady is never around to answer questions and this furiates me. I mean who runs a business like this and does not communicate with parents. My husband and I are just looking for any thoughts on other Pre schools or daycares. I don't like being this way but it seems like its the only way to get answers.

She refuses to give out her number or contact information to parents, and when she calls you back 3 days after being requested to by a teacher(which is the only way), she calls using a private number. She is a very rude and nasty lady. Busy Bees is less expensive, and the director is sweet, and the teachers are all nice and long-time employees. My daughter still attends Busy Bees Daycare and we love it.

I agree with all comments about this business, it's a wonder no one has actually called out the director by name. She has no idea what goes on and honestly it doesn't seem like she cares. You can tell she just does the job for a paycheck and she's not the owner. I wonder who actually owns this place now.
Years and years ago Brightside was the best around Cookeville, it's a shame someone like the director has turned it around for the worse. I for one as a parent believe they do have a good staff besides the director. You can tell which teachers actually enjoy there job and actually care about the kids.

I'm pretty sure it's the same owner and director these days. Not sure about the owner, but the director is not the right person for the position. When most parents leave there child in someone else's care for the majority of the day you would expect a little more out of a so called director! You are absolutely right she's just in the job for a paycheck and this is not that kind of position. I feel bad for the other staff members who have to pick up her slack. You can also tell they're annoyed with the leadership that's put in front of them.

Funny this director brought this school to a three star, can't be that bad!

My son went here and I agree with what most people have been saying. The director (if you could actually catch her there) was extremely short and rude, not only to the parents, but also to her own staff. My son loved his teacher and as far as I can tell, all the teachers work their butts off. However, Lori's attitude is unacceptable and I feel like she should be there a lot more than she is! I feel sorry for any parents that have to deal with her. And whoever said we shouldn't say this stuff about "someone we don't know," I think us as parents dealing with this woman on a regular basis gives us a little room to call her out on being a shitty director!

I currently work at Brightside. As a parent, you must choose a school for your child based on how you feel. Some children may excell in an environment that others may not. This is true of many things in life with adults too. Church, work, groups of friends etc. I can assure everyone that all the teachers at our school genuinely LOVE children. Daycare/preschool is NOT somewhere you work "just for a paycheck." It is high stress and low pay. Not to mention the HUGE amount of responsibility you assume to care for numerous children throughout the day. Everyone that works here is also required to do additional trainings after work hours. We truly do love what we do or we wouldn't do it. To be able to work with children is a gift and a talent that not many people possess. Think of how frustrated you can become at home with your own children or even managing your household. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but just know that we strive to do the best possible job to care for your children and provide them with a safe, educational and enriching environment. I know I speak for myself, and all the other teachers at BrightSide

My 10 month old goes to CRMC Children's Center and it's great. They teach up tp pre-k. The teachers are awesome and the director is very good. They usually have a waiting list though.
