If you go there for substance abuse issues, the workers are told to try and put you into a mental illness diagnosis as well even though you probably do not have a mental illness. They call it "co-occurring disorders" but you can't distinguish substance abuse withdrawal signs and symptoms vs mental illness signs and symptoms when the person is in active withdrawal in the first couple of days. This is how they keep their grants with the state by adding a sub. abuse/mental illness diagnosis together, AKA "co-occurring disorders." I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

I checked myself in there about five years ago.I was having some anger issues and sought help. They are so unorganized it took two months for them to get my insurance in order. My first day there a nurse came into my room and started giving me electroconvulsive therapy.I thought this was only to be preformed by a doctor. Her name was Nurse Ratched. She said she was perfectly qualified to administer the procedure. It would not had been so bad if she wasn't giving me hydrotherapy at the same time. After the first week there they came into my room one night while I was sleeping and removed the frontal lobe of my brain. The next morning I checked myself out AMA.I will never go back to that place and I would not recommended it to anyone. And they are rude too!

Never said it was an easy job. But if someone can't do it then just find a new job instead of not caring. Not saying you didn't care. You may have been the only smiling face or kind words the patient may have heard in days or for a month. And I personally know a handful of employees and past employees some did care but most didn't and don't. Think I know of this April, makes me roll my eyes too thinking about this particular employee.

yes, ditto to the april comment!! it's not that people don't care it's because the company won't let the employees really help anyone...it's all about money and getting people in there so they can milk tncare. And yes most of the front office staff were unfriendly. The practitioners that give/adjust/see how u are doing on your meds they may be giving you are basically told if you don't see a ridiculous amount of patients today then you won't get paid. That's why you only get like five seconds with them and feel like they don't care. Place is BS that's why it was wonderful to get the heck out of there.

"who cares" that is very true. The way they do that is by double booking clients on top of one another. By that, I mean scheduling two clients during the same time slot.

Do a little research. Most substance abusers suffer from mental health issues and most people who have mental health issues abuse substances. They go hand in hand, hence the co-occurring disorder diagnosis. You don't know if you have mental health issues because they were undiagnosed. Withdrawal does not look like a mental health disorder.

I went there once to investigate the dissapearance of a patient who drowned her three kids. The staff was uncooperative though. Then I started having these migraines and weird dreams but I stay anyway. Then the lost patient was found, but then I'm all "wtf?" Because the staff act like whatever. Then I hoot and holler until I finally remember that I'm a patient there after killing my wife for drowning our three kids. Then they lobotomize me. So yeah I've been there.
