Anyone else had bad instances with these people? They weren't very helpful and really do not seem to know what to do.

Very bad experience with the doc there. Cannot get in touch with them even though it was necessary b/c of new medication. Very uncaring attitude. Not pleasant at the front desk (just a job). Negative all the way around...my recommendation? Run away as fast as you can and find another therapist. They are basically a pill pushing location without a lot of therapy!! Very, very disappointed.

No they don't. They call the police and have you committed because it's against the law to commit suicide, as stupid as that sounds.

If you call and are suicidal, they will send the Mobile Crisis team to you...unless you are under the influence of alcohol. They are not allowed to see you if you are intoxicated.

Are they hiring people off the street now? Your spelling and grammar is suspect.

I had to go in over a year ago,the staff was very sweet, one of the ladies that worked there brought us an icecream cake from Dairy Queen out of her own money,i was so down and out and i remember her trying to make me laugh, they also let us watch watch movies,i'm not saying that it's got all the comforts of home but i think they do the best that they can!

I had this big girl named April and she was so fake to me. When she came to my house she rolled her eyes and only stayed for 10 mins. It's just a job for these people.

Honesty, I can't say I have a whole lot of sympathy for people who say they're suicidal or that their life sucks, yadda, yadda, yadda. There are people in other countries who have to go to bed at night not knowing if they'll live to see the next morning out of fear of being killed by acts of war or gang violence. There are people living on the streets who have nothing yet they still manage to put a smile on their face. Quit feeling sorry for yourself because nobody cares.

I had to be there about two years ago, because I kept seeing cartoon bluebirds flying around and landing on my shoulder. The staff were very nice to me.The food was very good there.Sometimes my Uncle Remus and Br'er Rabbit would come and eat lunch with me.After we ate the staff would let us go outside and we would dance around and sing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.After about a week the doctors said I was as normal as they were so they let me leave. They called me a pumpkin carriage to come and take me home.Very nice staff.I highly recommend Plateau to everyone.

It's not just a job to some of the people that work there. Some of them actually give a damn. It's not an easy career path...you take that sort of thing home with you. I can't even explain to you the things people told me when I worked there.

Three years ago I committed myself to Plateau for marijuana addiction and thank God I did.I learned how marijuana was going to kill me,(but I already knew that)if I kept using it.They taught me about how marijuana addicts always went on to use harder drugs such as herion and crack cocaine. How the percentage of male marijuana smokers was higher to become a homosexual per studies of male users in Jamaica. How the cannabis plant was placed on Earth by Satan himself!I have been clean now for three years.I will never touch the Devil's Weed again thanks to Plateau Mental Health!
