Did any of you know Jaimie Southard or Roy Silvers who were in the MLT program at MedVance a few years ago?
They both got jobs in Nashville at DCI Labs and started an affair and within 3 months BOTH abandoned their spouses and children ??

<quoted text> AMEN! i am glad that someone else thinks that this school totally sucks and is only worried about the money!! and not about the students or education experience or the people. THey sweet talk you just to get you there after that they treat you like Shit once your there.
He people, the way things typically work in school as well as in life in general are that you get out of it what you put into it. Also, if you think the staff at the school treated you like shit, I am fully willing to bet it's because your attitude sucked to begin with. You get back what you put out. Grow up!

I go to Medvance, I do well in all my classes and I have never had a single problem with anyone there including the staff and administration. I suppose my personal attitude makes a difference. I also think the problem is that if you are looking for issues, you will find them. No school is perfect, and don't forget Medvance is a private company that is a BUSINESS... DUH!

Yeah, Medvance works if they put you in a clinical site that is hiring. They say they pick your clinical site based on where you'll fit in best. Bullshit. The vast majority of my class did not get a job afterward and even the ones that had nearly perfect grades and attendance, etc were shit-canned once school was over. They help you find a job? Nah, they refer you to places that either has nothing to do with what you were studying or to places where you did not need to go to school to be hired. So far, this school was a total waste. If you're lucky you'll get a job. When reading their stats keep in mind they are very liberal when it comes to counting someone as getting a job. There's definitely a lot of cherry-picking when it comes to stats.

honestly i think medvance, draughons, itttech, everest commmercials need to be taken off air..they charge too much for a "degree" u will not make a whole lot in..recommend going to a community college for something better and/or going on to a 4 year school to get a better degree with better job security..one day MA's and CNA;s will be extinct.. if u have succeeded good for you..but personally it is not worth the price..bc they will hire an LPN before they are MA's or Cna's..just go to real college..just for thought

I agree with AAA. Why go to Medvance when you can get an associates in nursing (RN) in only two years?

I agree too.. Plus MedVance is somehow known for pill addicts, and inexperienced people graduating.. I would imagine that Medvance would hurt your reputation more than it would help. As a matter of fact, I know a few people who have attended MedVance or Graduated from there and one is working at Mcdonalds, and the other is working as a janitor at a local nursing home..

MedVance is a joke, get an associates in nursing or just go to a REAL school that won't ruin your rep as a serious individual in the medical field.

Many people have lives that turn out to b drs or teachers so don't say some of us have lives n don't have time to be in school for yrs. Id rather b in school for six years to get a job wit job security m great benefits than to go to medvance pay high dollars b in for two yrs n barely get a job or a degree that pays nothing or that's not very good

Yeah and I know several people who went to Medvance, worked their butts off academically and clinically and are still flipping burgers at Wendys. Just because a few people had a good experience there does not make it a good school.

Yeah MedVance is a JOKE! I wasted 5000 dollars of my money and have never been accepted to a job for the area I went there for. And when I called and asked for help they said it wasnt there problem any longer since im not there. I didnt want htem to get me a job...I just wanted advice...They are just a money scam...Dont give them your money. My advice to you is to go to Vol state in Livingston....I have the best relationship with all the teachers and they are very concerned with your success and well being. They will help you get anywhere you want to go...

I went and graduated in 2005. They are all about the money. Our class asked where each $24,500 went since our equipment was crap and we had 20 students in our class. We were yelled at and told we could go to Shirley's office 1 by 1 and she would let us know. I have had problems with Medvance being on my resume. They see it and laugh you out the door. Your credits will not transfer to another college either. They tell you they will but they don't. I called Vol State to attend classes for another modality and was told I would have to take classes for another allied health program or go to xray school again because my credits were no good. I was told I did not have an Associates degree. The only school I found to take some of my credits was Chattanooga State, a long way to drive from Cookeville. Their job placement program is a joke also. We were brought into an office and handed the Tennessean. We had many instructors quit in the middle of our program. We walked into class only to find out the instructor quit. Bob Griffith was our savior. Without him that year we all would have been doomed. The school is a MAJOR joke and is only after your money.
