If anyone is wondering about the new El Tequila restaurant that opened few weeks ago where the old Grady's used to be (front of Alpine Lodge)...it is delicious! We have been twice, and it was excellent both times. It is small and never real crowded, and we like the food much better than El Tap and Cinco's!!

Are you saying el Tequila is a better shit hole then cinco amigos? because you are saying cincos is dirty and the owners of both are brothers, It all makes sense now! Thanks for clearing that up.

Maybe you should go and check out they're inspection scores.

El Tap on Willow last score: 87 (it was a re-inspection due to 2 critical violations. This one was 11 non-critical violations.)

El Tap on Jefferson last score:87 (this was also a re-inspection after finding 3 critical violations on the one before. This one had 10 non-critical violations)

El Tequila last score:92 (first inspection ever with 7 non-critical violations)

I keep up with these. There are detailed reports of all non-critical and critical violations on each report. There was one report on El Tap that they recycled food (more than likely salsa).

Are you so sure you wish to continue to go to El Tap???

Source: http://dogwood.healthspace.com/tdh Tennessee Department of Health Division of General Environmental Health. It has every food establishment listed with scores.

You probably got sick because you ate 3lbs of fajitas, 6 tacos, 3 burritos and 2 pitchers of sweet tea. I am sure the triple hot fudge sunday you inhaled on the way home didn't help either.

Somebody always has something bad to say on Topix so their opinion really doesn't matter....I like the place & I love the people. Even when they were on Broad they were all very friendly.....& not paying taxes has nothing to do with the food....

Don't you need a job to afford to eat there? Or do you go dumpster diving for scraps?

No, but if you play your cards right, the authorities may find you in a dumpster.

I tried to find you, but Junior Chicken Little seems to be hiding these days.
