Anyone heard what is going on there ? I heard alot of people lost their jobs at the London office, except the ones who needed to, like Freddie Logan and Mark Mckee, Mark has missed over 20 days of work this year and the corp office doesn;t know because Freddie covers for him. Freddie left there for another trucking company a few years ago and came back but yet got to keep his job ?????? what is wrong with Averitt ? if I were some of those guys I would talk to a lawyer. they had more time than Freddie. I heard that Jason is leaving too. maybe Freddie should work a swing shift since he got to stay??????

Why talk to a lawyer? Why not let them run their business any way they want? If employees think they are being treated unfairly, they are welcome to quit and start their own company.

Averitt is usually a good Company to work for but they rely too much on what the site managers say and some of it is buddy buddy but show me a company that doesn't have some of that.

However If you get hurt on the job they will make your life a living hell, 1st they are self insured so any medical bills are paid directly by them, 2nd the W/C coordinator for KY & TN will treat you like you are trying to rip off the CO. when you make a claim she will do everything in her power to discredit you, that is my 1 objection to being a self insured co. I for one don't work there anymore and I have sought legal council

Good luck with all of your backyard legal consulting. Shade tree lawyers are hilarious.

Im not impressed with Averitt . I thought they kept up with there maintaince ,but they dont. Theyre too worried about keeping the trucks clean. ive had two trucks in two months and both had numerious DOT violations. Wornout brakes, High mileage 780,000 plus. They treat the truck load drivers like crap. They want you to have your HAZMAT endorcement ,so they can give you all the short 200 mile runs and not pay anymore money for a hazmat load. They lie just as much as the next company out there. They told me during orintation that they didnt run trucks over 3.5 years old. my first truck was over 5 years with almost 800,000 miles on it ,it stayed in the shop more than it did the road. So if you want to be treated like Barbque let averitt express blow some smoke up your Rear. I would rather pick up trash off the side of the road than ever drive for them. Out of the last 16 plus years ive been driving a truck over the road Averitt is the worst company out there. They make Werner Enterprises look like a wonderful company. Oh and i have never worked with a more worthless bunch of drivers , nothing but RATS . Nasty PIGS. I was in the Nashville terminal and there was a pizza box on top of a trash can with Human Crap in it. NASTY NASTY!!!!

How long did you drive for this company and were you given the miles weekly that you though you should be given or did they seem to be favoring some drivers more than others? Also, do you think that they shave the miles off of the designated trips and cheat the truckload drivers?
