Cookeville Nissan is the worst dealership in town.

I just ( 4 months ago) bought a 2012 Altima. It has been back for problems 3 times in the last 2 months. I understand that sometimes new vehicles have problems, but their service department people is trying to blame it on me. It only has 6000 miles and both recommended services have been done there. The first oil change the guy dragged a hose or something across the hood, scratching it pretty bad. They said it was that way when it came in and it must have happened at a carwash!!!! I never use a carwash, I wash by hand, ONLY.

Now after the second oilchange there is a knocking noise in the motor. The main manager Rizza, Rissi, something like that, says it's not his problem or responsibility, and "I SHOULD TAKE BETTER CARE OF MY CAR!!!" Really? Seriously? C'mon people, this cost me alot of money, it is my first brand new car and i am almost 60 years old. I take very good care of it.

I've heard other stories too. Mind you my salesman was really nice but said his boss wouldn't let him help me.

I'm going to call Nissan headquarters to see if they will help me.

Has anyone else had problems there?

I've always serviced my car there and had no problem. My sales guy was good but the manager was awful.

I hope it gets better. Go in there and complain to someone else.

Get in touch with the Nissan Corporate Headquarters, do not talk to any dealership about this. It isn't just Nissan... it is Ford and Hundai, they are owned by same person.
I took my car into Nissan, The dip stick was broken, they said they never did it, so I paid for another, they replaced it with another, the problem is it wasn't the correct one, it was to short. I took it back and got no answer that was suitable other than the service manager telling me that they could not do anything other than what they did.

We have always owned Nissan products, 5 to be exact. This past year we traded to different makes. I will not do buisness with Cookeville Nissan on any level and I would recommend anyone that does, do so with great caution.

My Grandaughter tried to buy her car from Cookeville Nissan but they were too high. She went to Nashville to a Dealership there and bought and saved like $1500.00.....

My husband and I went there to test drive a mini-van. We spoke with a dealer there named Derek and everything went well. We both really liked the van and when we were negotiating a price and got to his best price available for the item we were interested we explained we would still like time to think on it and look around as this was one of the first test drives we went on. Upon researching I found the SAME VAN on their internet site advertised at FOUR THOUSAND (yes thousand) dollars less than the lowest negotiated price he stated to us. We weren't looking for financing we were cash buyers and 10,900 and 15,000 is a pretty substantial difference. The van was still worth the 15,000 but the way in which the guy handled us we ended up buying somewhere else.

Our problems happened in the service department and everything was because the service manager. This was 2 years ago so I do not know if its the same guy but it was enough to loose a life long customer.

I bought a brand new Nissan back in 1998, and that car was a total nightmare. It was such a bad experience that I swore I would never own another Nissan product again.

Currently doing just fine owning other brands.

I bought new cars from Nissan for about 30 years. My last car from them was the last I'll ever buy there. Quality has really gone down hill. They are using cheap parts like plastic dip sticks just to name one. They are trying to save money at the cost of quality. Going to Toyota for my next car.

I have had several new Nissans over the years. They are great cars; IF, and only IF, they DO NOT come from Cookeville Nissan. Cookeville Nissan was a wonderful dealership when the Alexander's owned it, now it has changed hands and the new manager does not seem to know how to take care of customers. Either he doesn't know or he doesn't care. I believe he just doesn't care. He is so full of himself, his crotch is perpetually wet and sticky.

Frankly, I don't believe he knows what customer service is all about. It is extremely easy to make money when a person in his position takes care of both the customers and employees. I believe once he is gone, Cookeville Nissan will be the dealership we used to love. For now, I'll not be back.

My son's mother has a 2005 Sentra, which threw a cam sensor code a while ago, which she had replaced. it recently threw the same code, and she had the sensor replaced again, but it made no difference. she tried replacing a couple other sensors, to no avail. she had the car brought to nissan, who replaced the same sensors at four times the cost, and reprogrammed the ecu because "you have to when you replace sensors".(I've never had to do so, and am in the industry). she went to pick up her car and her $400 bill, but it would not start at all. so they replaced more sensors. and today, they are supposed to be the "experts", right?... at what?

Have a similar story with Cookeville Nissan. Bought brand new car there and first time I had an issue with the car for warranty work the service manager starts naming off the reasons that they will not cover it under warranty. This place is the worst for customer service and I will never again step foot on there lot. Buyer beware that after the sale you better hope you dont need warranty work. They send me those little cheesy flyers all the time asking me to come in and "trade up" to the new model. I have news for them they are wasting their postage on me!!!Make the drive to Nashville. You will be glad you did.

They will try to force you to buy an extended warranty but as the person above me said, they will have all kinds of reasons not to honor it. Will never buy another car from them after the last one I bought new in 2003.

You my friend are full of shit! There have been very few people in the auto business that possess the honesty and integrity of LeGrande Smith. Sorry for the course language but you really do not "know" LeGrande or you would not have made the statement you did.

No they are NOT the worst! Cookeville HONDA would hold that title! They are probably the second worst!

Sorry dude but I have to agree with the service people here. If there was a problem with the manufacturing process, more cars would be showing up with similar problems than just yours.

Have you been using the right fuel grade? If you're putting regular in a car that requires premium, you're going to have knocks. Poor driving habits can cause it as well. In all honesty, it sounds like you've got a broken rod....and there's nothing that anybody at the service station could have done to cause it.
