I especially like how police reports are taken verbatim and printed. Sloppy, sloppy work. What ever happened to ethics in journalism?

she should retire, she has bad mouthed everyone who isn't part of the putnam click for years. Her opinion is as worthless as her journalism. retire already.

I wish I could be positive about her like that...She printed and twisted words in an already false report. It cost my career as she defamed my character. In bigger cities she could be more of a liability. She also twisted a story of a car crash my then boyfriend passed away in. She wrote that he had been drinking when in fact the autopsy showed differently. I pray very hard so that I may forgive her. My career took care of my family and now we barely get by at all. When I've attempted to talk with her to correct the printed errors, she got very hateful and said she most certainly would not, it wouldn't look good for the paper. I pray that one day God will speak loudly to her.

I don't really think it's really called reporting when actually Mary Jo just walks in the court house and gets info from clerks and copies whats in police/arrest warrant that's hardly reporting.Last I remember that wasn't reporting that's copying. Reporting is actually getting out and finding the true story.

You could write an editorial to the paper. Also, you could write the manager and ask that another reporter look into the errors.

I spoke with someone above her whom said he would take care of it. Nothing was done, even having all the paperwork proving facts. She's been there so long that no one wants to cross her I guess. Thank you though Howdy.

Talking about a stupid post....your career was shot when that hews came out..she only printed what was on the report....she wrote what she read from the crash report...she don't make up the news..and she never said anything you say she said...I know. You got caught....your family suffers because of you...get a job.

I have a "job", just not the career I had for 13 years. Obviously I didn't do to bad of a job to have stayed with it 13 years. I'm so happy you were there and know it all. Maybe we can expect to read an article about you one day entitled, "A Putnam County Man/Woman Claims to be God".... and to call my post stupid, your lack of intelligence has poured out in your post. Sounds like part of her family, apple don't fall far from the tree. You like her are self centered, small minded, and angry individual. I'm sorry your life hasn't been so good to you that you have to be so hateful and careless of others. My prayers are for you as well, may God Bless you too.

I think the same old crime and mayhem stories get old too. I don't really think it does anyone a service to list every petty crime in the newspaper, but if you look at the Herald-Citizen website, her stories always have the most views. Obviously she is doing her job if she is writing the stuff people flock to. The newspaper is in business to make money. You clicking a link to one of her stories or picking up a paper helps them sell ads. Every time you read one of her stories you dislike so much, you're basically encouraging her to write more.

Just something to think about.

You have no idea what happened, it wasn't anyone getting caught. The problem with this town is that the people whom have been here their whole lives got so used to "knowing" everyone's business that when this town quickly grew to what it is now, they still like to think that way. Posting these replies that you're posting to me just keeps proving your lack of mentality.
