Is Trinity Assembly a CULT of Some Sort?
Wrong is wrong

OK, you Trinity supporters, tell me this.

When a certain lady on Dry Valley Road got busted for selling counterfeit Rolexes and other brand name items, I heard that Trinity stood up for her and was outraged at her prosecution.

So I ask you -- is this true, and if so, how in the world do you support thievery and deception?

I ask with an honest heart hoping for an honest answer.

Of course you should have loved and ministered to your sheep that went astray, but so support the practice of evil is itself evil.

Please tell me where I'm wrong.

I know, let's ask God if Trinity Assembly is a cult. If there is a God, and there is, don't you think he's big enough to take care of the problem like all the other ones like Wacco and Jonestown ?
where is it

well the dead sea scrolls is one place to start, another would also be the ancient inscriptions all over egypt.
Can you say where that quote came up 3000 yrs. ago? I want to know also, and I don't have the time to start reading the Dead Sea Scrolls, etc. just the one quote would be a great bit of info!
may I add

His Sister wrote:
The problem is that he has become increasingly depressed and withdrawn since he joined Trinity. He has fallen back on his bills. The electric was turned off until we went to the city and paid the bill. His phone was shut off. He has a medical disability and stopped taking his medication for Parkinson's. We hired a home nurse and he won't let her inside the house. He told her through the door that God would heal his Parkinson's and he had a new family. She asked him what family that was and he said it was the people at Trinity. He has isolated himself and will only have contact with church members. We had the law do a welfare check on him when we couldn't get in touch with him for an entire day and night. The cop that went out said that he appeared dazed. We are meeting with an attorney tomorrow to see exactly what we can do to get him help. My brother is a shell of a man compared to six months ago. Before he got involved with this kooky group, he was doing well. At first we thought he was on drugs.
This almost sounds like what happens to some people in Alcoholics Anonymous. Not all, but some are more susceptible to the "love bombing". There are many cases of people being told to stop meds and "work a better program". Not in the official "blue book", but a LOT of what goes on there isn't, either. They tell the person that THEY are their new family, and if their own family doesn't join then they are sick. It has been called a cult, also a social cult. The emotionalism and programmed affection there hits people when they are at a fragile point in life. The divorce rate is also aprox. 73%. They get remarried many times to others in the group, when I say many times, I mean over and over. The older guys also do a LOT of hitting on the younger women there. I guess when they are "down & out", they are easier to attrack for them! It has been called a cult, also. Some people in either place, are more needful of attention and it takes on a cult-like importance to them. They are told if they stop going they will be "in jail, dead, or insane". Does that church do that also? Maybe not the exact words, but you get my idea?

Okay Trinity is not a perfect church, but we don't handle snakes, we don't make you give money, we don't go to your house and tell you what to wear. what to eat , who you can marry other than a man with a woman. We believe in Healing because Jesus is the Healer. We believe in Prosperity because Jesus is the Provider. We believe in Miracles because Jesus is the same yesterday , today and forever. A cult is an organization that is secretive and wants to gain control of those involved in it . You are free to check out what we believe and if you don't like what you see you are free to leave, nobody will try to stop you. Who else but the Devil would want to keep you from something that God is Blessing. Can anything bad come out of a place called Algood ?

many years ago they had a preacher there , who is now higher up in rank. He used 2 buy cars for the church all the time. He never once put them in the church name, alway's his own. Just saying that is wrong using church money for your own advantage. I know alot of people who go there, but I know more who used 2 go there for the reasons previously mentioned. They require you 2 give them a copy of your taxes. Nothing like getting billed at 10%. It all starts at the top and the shit runs down hill. Glad I am not a member of this church, life church, or any other of these profit for preacher churches.

Bull....I call BULL on this post. The church owns NO cars and never has. It owns busses and vans for the bus ministry. It owns a couple of extended length golf carts to pick up people from their vehicles.

No one is REQUIRED to give their W2, that is an outright lie. In my 12+ years as a member, no one has ever asked me about my W2. What you give is between you and God. I believe scripture tells us to give our 'first fruits' or a 'tithe'(translated as a tenth) to the 'local storehouse', which in my opinion is your local church.

The ONLY people criticizing this wonderful body of believers are people who've never darkened the doors of the place.

Come on out and see for yourself and then you'll come back on here and apologize. If you're gutless or afraid of good people, check us out online LIVE every Sunday at trinityalgood.com

I've never attended a service there but that church helped my band out many times with free shows around Sparta and Cookeville. Everyone I met from there seems very down to earth and decent. And a tenth of income isn't really all that much. I spend more than that on mcdonalds.

I personily love the chuch and have friends and family that go there. Sounds like every one on here is jealous because they have the holy spirit in there life And u dont......Y'all should be praising the lord and be happy for people who have the lord in there life but instead ur wanting to judge people when FIRST of all GOD can only judge us!!!!! So who gives u the right to have anything to say!!!!!

Matthew 7
New International Version (NIV)
Judging Others

7 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother,‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

This is too funny (and sad at the same time). It never ceases to amaze me how religious and non-religious people JUDGE a local body of Christ. No, I'm not a member nor have ever visited Trinity. The point is that what occurs at Trinity is different than what happens at local Baptists, Church of Christ, and other denominations mainly because Trinity (and other churches) allow the Spirit of God (Holy Ghost) to show up as it did in Acts 2. I realize that most dead churches wished that Acts 2 didn't happen, but it did. Many believe that Acts 2 only happened once. They just need to read their Bible a bit more. It has happened a lot since then and continues today.

Giving a tenth of ones income is referred in church doctrine (Baptists, Assemblies of God, etc.) as a "tithe" however that is not the biblical definition of a tithe found in the books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus. Tithing in not really New Testament teaching although giving very much is. People that give beyond their means do need counseling because that is NOT sound Biblical doctrine. Ten percent may be a good starting point for some, and not so good for others. Give as the Spirit tells you to give. It's all about Jesus, not YOU! Paul's letter to the Thessalonians states to "not to quench the Holy Sprit". So please stop bashing what YOU do NOT UNSERSTAND! od does things to confound the wisdom of men. He doesn't think like you or me, thankfully.

There are many, many churches. All have a purpose in the Body of Christ. All have purposed called for his will. Paul teaches in Corinthians that there are many ministrations of Spirit yet only one Spirit. Like the human body, there are many parts but all make up one body. When both religious and non-religious people get that, maybe they will quit assassinating each other over trivial beliefs.

Above all, love one another.

Peace,
Mike

Yes. Trinity is a cult. A shining example of everything that is wrong with Christianity.
