I always go to the Wal-mart in Algood. It's a cleaner store and the folks are friendlier. But, eh, it is still Wal-mart.

Awesome folks considering they can walk out of their store with 4 plastic bags of crap for a weeks pay. Who says slavery is abolished.Walmart has like what 30000 on there money farms.

I used to work at Algood walmart. You have NO clue what these people have to deal with from smartass customers who think because they come in there to spend $ they can be as rude and hateful and as much as an asshat they want to be.

I only go there early in the mornings, because most of the people shopping early are nice and polite. Most, I said most. The few that are rude are rude enough to nearly make up for it. There are some folks out there who obviously believe that they are oh so very special they can treat others any way the want. To you Wal-Mart workers at Algood. Keep up the friendly service. I know you have a difficult time and I, for one, appreciate the smiling friendly faces I find there in the mornings!

Worst thing was, I was big and pregnant when I worked there, I was a cashier, but things were slow one day and I was sent to Fold shirts in the womens section. A mexican woman stood back and watched me for about 15 min. As soon as i finished, she ran over as i walked off, started grabbins shirts and shaking them to unfold them and throw them back on shelf. So wanted to SLAP THE HELL out of her but didnt wanna go to jail!

Do any of you know about pressure put on employees to quit that have worked at Wal Mart a long time so they can hire someone cheaper to take that employee's place? As you know, if they lay off an employee, it means unemployment. If they fire an employee without proper cause, it means a lawsuit, so the only way to "cut back" is force by pressure, harrassment, etc. an employee to quit. Just wondering if anyone had experienced this?

Just wondering if anyone had experienced this? I totally did. I had issues with my pregnancy, and Had to leave a couple times and go to ER. ALso, because my blood sugar, I had to keep peanuts in my pocket to eat a few when it bottomed out so i didnt pass out. ON DOCTORS ORDERS, they threatened to fire me for "eating constantly at my register" I might have had a handful of peanuts through out the entire day,(8 hour shift) and I dont think that is :eating constantly" also they would tell me That if i left due to health reasons even with a Dr note would be fired

Dr note is irrelevant. Absent is absent. If you can't preform the functions of your job like everyone else, you go on medical leave. That's what it's for. Last I heard, all cashiers were to have at register is water.
