why is it there?
did everyone get to vote on if it should be put up there?
who decides things like this?
why did someone feel it necessary to put up the words "in god we trust"

I am wondering what it is exactly you are trusting god to do, and how is that working out for you?

The county planning committee and then the full commission approved it last month. It was all over the newspaper and was even on Nashville news before they did it.

If you want to put "In God We Trust" then you have to put "In Allah We Trust"

America is for freedom of religion, not forcing one religion on everyone.

God in this context could mean any deity, including Allah. That's how they are able to do it legaly. If it said 'In Jesus we trust', there would be a problem. IMO

Go do some research and you will see that this country was founded by christians . or pay attention in school before you ask a dumb quistion. or research our first president and the prayer of hope where it talks about how he prays to god in a church in new york the birthplace of america about how if this country ever goes away from god to strike it down . or look at a dollar bill perhaps .

God is a blanket term for what "power" people believe in. It doesn't specifically speak of the Christianity God. Many believe in a water god, fire god, Allah, Buddha, but they are considered gods in their followers eyes. If it said "In God of Christianity we trust"- that would be a no no.

What about all the other gods that are worshiped around the world? Are you bias toward allah? Are you pushing one god over another?

It doesn't need to be there. There is a separation of church and state, so putting this on a government building is wrong. They should have let the entire town vote instead of hiding it until the vote was done. Now we are all stuck with the eye sore

Your name says it all. That eye sore, as you call it, is all over your money. You should probably throw it all away or better yet give it to a church or charity.

So, who's going to start the ball rolling on getting us a Flying Spaghetti Monster sculpture on the courthouse lawn? His Noodly Appendage demands it!
