home health care businesses they tell you how great it is to work for them, after you sign the contract they work you to death call you in on your days off treat you like crap they don't pay overtime and when you are do for a raise they make up things so you don't get one when you quit they bad mouth you every where you go looking for a job so you don't get hired , by the time you find out their doing that you have lost everthing . and they always have a sign accepting applications.if they would just treat people with more respect they would not always be looking for help. can anyone relate to this are had trouble with home health care businesses

Amedisys sucks too. The director Vannessa Garrett, RN is an idiot who can't do her job properly. Now when I work for a company I ask about the employee turn over rate!

It sounds like you've got it pretty good for somebody who obviously has very little in the way of formal education.

I had been considering trying this type of work due to the fact that their are very few choices for employment these days. I have saw ads for Home Instead and Home Care Givers. I would like to have a job somewhere but I donot want one like the conditions that was described.

Community options is definantly worth giving a try! They just got a new staffing coordinator about 3 months ago who's really focused on customer appreciation & I know they r hiring.

Every company I have ever worked for has pros and cons. Home health pays well, because it is hard and demanding work. Kind of cowardly to go on line anonymously and bash someone else. Sounds like sour grapes to me. I work for Vanessa. She is not perfect!! Neither am I, and she wants what's best for staff and patients.

Don't go work for IOI.... They don't care about their clients or staff. The supervisors are there to collect their check and nothing else.

Their clients aren't allowed to talk to their family on the phone outside the office... Wonder why. Maybe it has something to do with the lack of care and they want to monitor what's said.

Sounds like you have not worked with her for long. Why do you think they have had several clinical directors in the last few years? Better yet, why don't you ask James if he feels like she has his best interest in mind.

Home Instead is a great company to work for. It is non-medical, so the pay is a little less than the others. However, the owners and staff are all very friendly.

They r in the same line of business as pace setters except without the day centers. And they hire staff that is medication trained thru the state but they can require the training if needed. They start their employees off at 8$/hr.

C'mon now, if your turtle were in his last days and needed hospice care, I think you would appreciate some tender loving care for your pet. When you consider all the love your turtle has given you, it's the least you could do.

Think through your posts before hitting the button.
