Those guys were trying to cause a wreck or wrecks. So glad the police arrested them before they caused someone to die which must have been their intentions.

None of these guys were out to hurt anyone or kill anyone. They are young and immature - sure... but I know most of these guys well and they'd give you the shirts off their backs. Just some good kids who had a very stupid idea that's cost them and others alot. Most of them had no idea they would even get in trouble, much less that it was a felony. So yes they will pay for it every day the rest of their lives.

yeah they were really good kids to be doing something that they knew could be fatal. if they were not trying to destroy cars, cause wrecks, or kill someone then what was their motive? If your car had been one of the cars they damaged you would have a whole different attitude.

They need to learn a lesson. Come on everyone realizes how dangerous what they did can be! They could have very well caused a bad wreck resulting in serious injuries or death. Even the things they threw off that were on the interstate could have cause a bad wreck if hit by a vehicle. They are not children and they knew someone one could be seriously hurt because of their antics They were playing with fire. Thank God there were not injuries, wrecks or fatalities. Even good people make bad decisions but they still need to pay the consequences.

You wouldn't be saying this if they HAD caused somebody to wreck and kill themselves (or one of those logs flew through somebody's windshield and killed them) and it wound up being YOUR loved one who lost their life due to the foolishness of these DUMBASSES.

I find that incredibly hard to believe. Most criminals plea innocence but I doubt most of them would be dumb enough to pull the "I didn't know trying to kill people was illegal" thing.

Backwoods, read your next to last sentence and explain the revelance of that. The issue is that they committed serious crimes and with wires stuck in gasoline they were planning to do something deadlier than throwing logs and a burning pizza box down on motorists. There is no excuse for the conduct of these so called adults. They most certainly should pay for the rest of their lives.

They are much to ugly to get dates but they could get jobs. Their daddies need to blister their asses. Trying to kill people is not an acceptable means of entertainment. Go crawl back under your rock now.

Young kids-no. Young adults-yes. If it would've been my son, I would've went to jail too for whipping his hide. I would want the judge to deliver a firm sentence, complete with restitution.

They could've went fishing, hiking, to a movie, played ball, bowling, swimming, play on the PC, 4wheeling. They also could've visited one of our many parks, performed yard work, applied for jobs, helped parents around the house, even sleeping the day away would've been more productive.

There are many things to do other than selling/doing drugs. Being too lazy to get out and enjoy life is no excuse for putting the lives of others in jeopardy. If your friend does work hard and earns his own money, he should respect things other people have paid for. Cars are expensive to fix, even just the paint. Broken glass is another big one. A giant or even miniscule glass shard could've seriously injured someone. Boredom IS NOT an excuse to recklessly endanger the lives of others, whether you're an ignorant young adult or not.

Some kids in Carolina back in the 90's were throwing stuff off of an overpass. they killed one driver when the object went through the windshield. I have no pity for the people who were arrested in Putnam Co.
