What County do you live in? Putnam County has not mailed theirs yet. Most sales in our county are much higher than the Assessor's anyway.

Well, it's good that the property value went up. Mine was the same way too. Property taxes didn't increase, so we are still paying the same amount, so it should be okay. Try to sell it with the new assessment value is all I can think for you to try. Good luck to you!

The certified tax rate will be lower so the taxes will be the same as you paid last year. The assessor does not collect taxes. The appraisal will stay the same until 2015. If u have a question and the really believe the appraisal is incorrect. Use your time and call the assessors office.

If our assessor does not hike up the appraisal we would not pay more property tax,and we are stuck with this till 2015 so we will pay even more tax over the next 5 years!Mine went up 18000 WHY?Any way you cut that pie we pay more and we should not have to.

It was in the newspaper that the taxes are NOT going up. So why in the f^ck are you bitching about this? The taxes here are LOW. If you don't like it, then move the hell out of here. Your grammatical skills are pretty poor so this explains why you are still stuck in Cookeville and whining like a functional retard.
