The CDC doesn't have any control over England, where Dr. Wakefield was license and practiced. He was also never vindicated. He was asked to resign from his position at the Royal Free Hospital and his license was revoked because he refused to provide a copy of his findings and his experiments were unethical because hew took blood samples from children at his son's birthday part without their parent's consent and paid people to go out and get people worried about the MMR vaccine before he even begin his "study."

You shouldn't listen to a think Mike Adams says. He's a complete quack.

Here's his headline: "Vaccine failure admitted: Whooping cough outbreaks higher among children already vaccinated"

NOTHING in the study says that. It says kids who have gone longer since getting vaccinated are more likely to get it than kids who have just recently been vaccinated. This tell us that the vaccine is not have a long-lasting effect. It's still far better than having nothing at all.

Before the vaccine was developed, 157/100,000 kids got whooping cough. Afterwards, it was 1/100,000. Nuff said.

I have other links but I have to log into my computer, right now i'm on my phone. When I get a chance I will post them. Bottom line vaccines are not as good as the doctors say they are they are lined with so many other things besides what they are suppose to prevent you from getting.

A population-based study from the United Kingdom investigated the incidence of autism before and after the introduction of MMR vaccine in 1988 [56]. Although there was a steady increase in the number of cases of autism by year of birth, there was no sudden change in the trend after the introduction of the MMR vaccine. Moreover, there was no difference in the age of diagnosis of autism between the cases vaccinated before or after 18 months of age and those never vaccinated. The analysis failed to support a causal relationship between receipt of the MMR vaccine and subsequent development of autism [56]. A similar retrospective analysis in the United States came to the same conclusion [2].- UpToDate

Though neither specific childhood vaccines nor vaccine components, such as thimerosal, have been proven by scientific study to have a causal relationship with the development of autism, there is evidence that other factors, including genetics, are important in the development of autism.

Basically, VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM! The guy earlier was correct in that a guy in England made confabulated the study and was later rejected and did indeed lose his medical license. The facts are that vaccines help people live longer and protect against devastating diseases. Do you know why people are getting shingles nowadays? Because children are getting the chickenpox vaccine and we (adults that had chickenpox as a child) are not being exposed to it and keeping up our immunity, so it surfaces again later in life. Therefore, if you children get the chickenpox vaccine, they will NEVER get shingles, nor will they get the post-herpetic neuralgia that is so devastating after the shingles outbreak. Mumps can causes infertility, who wants their child to have to live with that because you CHOSE to not give them a vaccine? What about meninigitis and H. flu? Both of those can be fatal and you are going to put your child at risk for that? Chances are, if your child is going to be autistic, he/she has the GENE for autism that you and your partner gave to him/her when he/she was conceived. There is no vaccine or anything else that most likely causes autism. So if you want to decrease the chance of your child getting autism, then don't reproduce. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you decide to have children, get them vaccinated! They will thank you for it later!:)

And yes, I am a medical provider and actually know what I'm talking about. Thanks!

Your link doesn't work.

But yes, the outbreak is primarily due to older children having waning immunity from the vaccines, which don't last as long as the older version of the pertussis vaccine. Younger children have remained well-protected.

Doctors aren't claiming them to be fail proof. The only people saying that vaccines are fail proof are the people who keep saying that doctors say they're fail proof.

There is a small percentage of people who will react negatively to a vaccine, or any medicine. There is a small percentage of people who will have no effect at all, good or bad. There is a vast majority of people who will experience the desired effect. And that, my friend, is how science works.

The more you know.

Prime example of misrepresenting statistics. It's not that the vaccine is ineffective. It's that the vaccine wears off over time, which is to be expected. This sort of "loss" in immunity is natural and most often observed in people who live in foreign countries, who move somewhere else for a while, and then when they return home they catch something that is relatively common in that area but generally not contracted by the people who live there.

The previous version of the vaccine lasted longer but had more non-serious side effects. It comes down to a question of whether or not we'd rather out kids have a belly ache or a potentially life-ending disease.
