Well, since my last post didn't show up on here, I'm going to try again.
I am the daughter of the lady who called the police. I would like to comment on some of the accusations that have been thrown at my mom:
1.) My mom tried asking the lady several times to put her dog (it is VERY aggressive..to the point where my mom has had to run in the house b/c it's nipping at her feet, etc.)on a leash. She reminded the lady that there is a condition in the lease that the lady signed stating that dogs need to be on a leash. My mom told her that if she saw it one more time she'd call the police (this was, again, AFTER several attempts to take care of the situation w/o the law having to step in).
2.)My mom is NOT a dog hater. Yes, she has a cat. So what? I have three cats and no dogs. I am not a dog hater. I CHOOSE to not have one...for the same reason my mom does: a cat is an easier choice b/c of our disease. I love snakes, birds, and just about anything, but I CHOOSE to have cats. They are a source of comfort and are a bit less maintenance.
3.)My mom has a good reason for wanting to protect others (even MORE than she wants to protect herself): When I was little I was outside playing w/ our family dog. I was bit on the the face. She came outside to a gruesome scene. My left cheek and a small portion of my nose were laying open! I was only two years of age at the time. My mom got me to the ER (I bled through two bath-size towels)where a plastic surgeon pieced me back together. There were almost 50 stitches on my tiny 2 year old face. Even with this horrible thing that she went through, she promised herself that she would not display a fear of dogs--she did not want to project fear onto me,if I was okay with dogs. I was just fine and still do not have a fear. She doesn't either...however, she obviously would never want that to happen to anyone else! Hence the reason that cities have put leash laws in place--for safety. For people's safety and for the dogs!
~ Speaking of leash laws: why is it that so many (especially the lady who owns the dog)are siding with the dog? I am sad to know that this dog was hurt (my mom was as well...she cried when she saw what happened. It was not her intention to have the dog hurt). However, the blame needs to sit squarely on the shoulders of the dog owner! She was told several times about leash laws and CHOSE to disregard. If I disregard stop signs, chances are I will hurt someone or myself. I was taught (by my mom) to obey laws that are in place. I was taught to own up to my wrongdoings and to make it right. I was taught to NOT point fingers and blame everyone/everything ELSE for concequences that I've had to suffer b/c of my own fault.
*If you love someone/something you will set limits and boundaries. Just like I don't allow my three children to roam the streets at night or eat five bags of candy per day, this lady should have shown love to her dog by doing what she needed to, to keep her dog safe. I suppose she would threaten to sue the owner of a vehicle who hit her precious pooch b/c her pooch was not on a leash!
Now this lady would rather threaten law suits,go to news channels, newspapers, etc. to try and put her spin on what happened: the lady disregarded my mom's reminders. The police were called. They took my moms' statement. The officer went to talk with dog owner.Upon opening the door, the dog flew out of the house. The officer responded as he was TRAINED to do: he stopped the charging dog (he would do the same w/ a person). He did not use lethal force. He did not use a gun. He simply stopped this 'oh-so-sweet' dog.
Seems like everyone else was doing what they were supposed to do...EXCEPT the dog owner. Who is REALLY at fault?

you don't know the lady and maybe she has a really really serious illness that keeps her from being able to catch her dog just [saying we don't know]

Ummm...BEFORE you open the door, put a leash on the dog! IT'S THE LAW! If you can't handle a dog, perhaps you should not have one. And this was an all-the-time thing: she'd open her door and let the dog out with no leash. She is disobeying the law. It's pretty clear cut with no room for what-if's.

The issue here has more to do with the fact that Officer James Marquess does not have the sufficient skills (nor balls) to handle a simple situation without excessive force. What do you require for a human assailant Mr. Marquess? A missle launcher?
Here's some advice from a fellow cop Mr. Marquess: The video of you is a discrace. Law inforcement has a hard enough time with public relations without your lame display of over-reaction. I suggest another line of work.

To bad this officer can't say that to his James Marquess face, and James does have a missle launcher. Don't you honey.LMAO
Oh wait this is probably just another person trying to get another rumor started. Did he show your wife his missle launcher. Maybe and Maybe not

HaZ (a.k.a. James Marquess) is doing a poor job of lashing out through this site. Rather sad that you need to result to so many aliases (fake posts) and such tactics in order to make yourself appear better than you are.
Grow a set & grow up.

Maybe "HaZ is actually Marquess' "life partner".
Maybe "The Law" is a female officer who has a husband that Marquess wishes he could exchange missiles with. Don't you honey. LMAO

Dear LOL ,
He has had it and who hasn't.Didn't they work together at Overton County before both going to Algood, just saying. Sometimes they need fellow officers extra support before going home smelling like rotten crotch.
