This is the talk inside UCDD employees are running scared. Some trying to cover things up incase they can not keep it from the media or investigation. Others that really do their job and need to keep a job are worried if the truth gets out they may shut the place down.

As much as should happen believe people have tried before, and some how the media gets headed off before it becomes public. Maybe that is because her "money" husband works at the state capital. Although no longer an elected official he was lobbying for UCDD last time I was there. Wonder who paid for that?

Why would any city join in the County Planning Department when you can get the same service from UCDD, who has had planners on staff for decades. The county will have to hire a complete unfamiliar staff.
is it just me or does this link bring up a blank page now?

Hey Glad you mentioned the furniture. Wendy was at the flea market all the time late last year looking for economical but classy dishes. She said over and over that people without a lot of money deserve a quality, beautiful place to live when they can't live at home anymore. How pathetic of someone to attack a group of such good people who honestly are trying to make a difference. After reading all the negative post it appears someone abviously got FIRED. Sounds like an inside job and you will probably be found out so if you are still working shame on you and you probably won't be for long.

Do you think it is ok to use government funds to operate a business that benefits the director of a government agency? I think it is time someone asks Wendy Askins, director of Upper Cumberland Development District, also known as UCDD, if she thinks it is ok to receive federal and state funding at her business that she operates outside of UCDD. Last fall Ms. Askins started a business called Living the Dream. What is Living the Dream? It is supposed to be an independent living facility for senior citizens. Why would Ms. Askins want to operate an independent living facility? Good question. The UCDD receives federal and state funds to oversee projects that assist the elderly. Independent living facilities receive funding to help offset the cost of senior citizens who choose to living in independent living facilities. In other words, Ms. Askins may be receiving funds from the agency (UCDD) that she oversees to house senior citizens in her facility, which is a private business. Isnít that a conflict of interest?
The connection between UCDD and Living the Dream has become a topic of conversation in the community lately. Is UCDD funding Living the Dream? Is Ms. Askins receiving a personal benefit as director of UCDD, meaning receiving referrals of clients from UCDD to her independent living facility? If Ms. Askin is indeed receiving UCDD funding at Living the Dream, this is not only a conflict of interest, it is also a CRIME. No public official can receive any type of benefit from their employment whether it be directly or indirectly. Ms. Askins is a public official. That means that Ms. Askins cannot receive clients at her independent living facility that are referred by UCDD. She cannot in any way affiliate her independent living facility with UCDD. She cannot advertise her business at UCDD or receive information about funding for her clients from UCDD. There can be no affiliation between UCDD and Living the Dream whatsoever.
I recently heard that Ms. Askins has moved several of her UCDD employees to Living the Dream. Why is she making office space at her private business for UCDD employees? Is she having problems filling up her independent living facility with clients? Is she turning her independent living facility into office space for UCDD? If Ms. Askins is leasing office space to UCDD from her private business, that would be a huge conflict of interest and a CRIME. Why is Ms. Askins having such a hard time getting clients at her independent living facility? Is it a licensed facility? Has it been inspected by the Board of Health and passed inspection to house residents? I have heard that some of the residents need constant care and assistance. That would make it an assisted living facility instead of an independent living facility. She would need a different type of license to operate an assisted living facility. She would have to have medical personnel on the premises and a full time staff 24 hours a day. Does Ms. Askins have medical personnel and full time staff at Living the Dream? I donít know. I think it is time someone finds out what is going on with Ms. Askins, UCDD and Living the Dream. Is she using taxpayer money to operate her private business? Phil Williams, itís time for you to go to work and found out the truth.

You think Wendy is happily married? She was trying to get a divorce a year of so ago. If she is so happily married, why doesn't she live with her husband. Sounds like a happy marriage to me.

By the way, you have ridiculed people for not posting their names, if you support Wendy so stongly, why don't you give your name? I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to be associated with her either.

Also I didn't make that list. I was commenting on the list already made. Lindsey has a college education as well. All I did was write about the actual certifications/degrees that some of these people listed possess, and that I know of for 100% fact. I'm not quite sure what you mean or what your argument is.

Anna Marie Askins graduated from TTU today. Isnít that Special? In case you donít know Anna Marie, she is the daughter of Wendy Askins. Ms. Wendy is the director of Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD). You would know that probably why all those vehicles with government license plates were at Anna Marieís graduation. Why are government vehicles being driven to a graduation ceremony? I canít figure out how a graduation would be official business for UCDD employees. Why are they allowed to drive government vehicles to events that are not related to UCDD or official business? I will tell you why. Anna Marie is the golden child of UCDD. Employees are strongly encouraged to attend every special event for Anna Marie including birthdays, Christmas and graduation. They are also encouraged to bring gifts. If employees fail to attend special events for Anna Marie, they are frowned upon by Ms. Wendy. The same applies to Ms. Wendy. Everyone is encouraged to attend Ms. Wendyís birthday and special events, and to bring gifts.
Ms. Wendy also runs the Living the Dream senior home in a subdivision near Baxter. I heard that she threw Anna Marie a real big shindig of a graduation party today at Living the Dream. Lots of UCDD employees were in attendance as they were strongly encouraged to attend. I wonder who paid for the shindig. Do you think any UCDD funds were used to pay for the shindig? Surely not. Would Ms. Wendy do something like that? I donít know, you know Ms. Wendy was recently interviewed by Channel 5 News. Why was Channel 5 News interviewing Ms. Wendy? Could it be that she is doing something that she should not be doing? I wonder. There has been a lot of controversy about UCDD and the connection to Living the Dream. You know Ms. Wendy and Anna Marie live at Living the Dream. If UCDD is connected to Living the Dream, that would be inappropriate.
Ms. Wendy has chosen to take the high road on any questions related to the connection to Living the Dream and UCDD. Is she really taking the high road or is she just afraid to tell the truth? Why doesnítí she just explain if there is or isnít a connection between Living the Dream and UCDD? What is she afraid of the public finding out? Keep an eye out on Channel 5 News. We may get to see Ms. Wendy explain the connection. I heard that Ms. Wendy can make you feel warm and fuzzy when she talks. I usually just get nauseated.
