What does everybody think about a strip club here? A classy club not a barn like Midnight Express.

Not sure if there is a classy strip club. But if we get one I'd like all the woman to be kinda chubby with really big all natural heavy breasts.

Keep it in Nashville or the bigger cities, no sense in trashing up ours with it. If you can afford to waste sticking your money down a strippers ass crack then you can afford to drive elsewhere to do it.

I disagree. This county has been BEGGING for a strip joint, it's going to get the car show soon enough that keeps trying to come here, and all the requisite increases in crime and debauchery, etc., that these things bring are INEVITABLE. There were those of us in this community who stated quite clearly that FIRST we would go from a dry county to liquor (and, sure enough, we did, passing by the liquor-by-the-drink waystation first) and you can bet your bottom dollar we WILL have a strip joint soon enough. They've even made overtures towards broaching the subject of adult-oriented business sales and their relation to zoning laws allready. I want every single person who voted to go from dry county to beer sales, then voted to allow beer sales on Sunday, then voted for liquor-by-the-drink, then voted for the package store to remember that when the time comes. People that were too lazy to drive to Baxter to get their liquor before don't have to anymore, and soone enough... People who are too lazy to drive to Smithville to hit up a titty bar won't have to anymore. And it's going to be WONDERFUL. In the meantime, since we got that wonderful liquor-by-the-drink and whatnot, the "Girls Gone Wild" buses show up all the TIME at our bars around here, and TONIGHT, that made a special stop at the Midnight Express in Smithville too. Think how much money they will save when they don't have to pay to drive all the way to Smithville. It'll be win-win all around.

Well so be it if it happens. What choices that are made by those who make it happen and participate in its possible future success will be the ones to face judgement when it's their time. That's on you folks npt me and good luck with that because there won't be no excuses once that time comes. So get your SPF 100000 ready!!! God Bless you!!

well, what is done is done. This community went from dry to beer sale because it was covetous of revenue generated by surrounding counties, then it became covetous of revenue generated by surrounding sales of beer on Sunday, then it became covetous of revenue generated from liquor sales at surrounding county restuarants, and then it became covetous of revenue generated by package stores. It was, and is, inevitable that it will become covetous of revenue generated from titty bars, so it's best everybody come to realize that this is a GOOD thing, and not a BAD thing.

This town skipped the Hooters and went straightaway to places like the MVP Spa.

Like at strip clubs in other cities no one will be forced to enter a strip club in cookeville if they choose not to.
We have adult bookstores here and no one is forced to go into them.
We have bars. When was the last time someone forced you to buy a drink? Altho most of the hypocrites have no problem with going to Walmart that also sells alcohol.
In short if you don't like strip clubs stay out of them. Simple huh?

I think strip clubs are for losers that aint man enough to see a pair a boobies or Cootchie with out paying to see them. I have never been to one, never will, why pay to go and get blue balls, when you know you cant touch it after its rubbed in your face.

Lets get a Hooters, now that is classy.

I personally like strip clubs. I'm straight, but I enjoy watching stippers on poles. It's amazing! It really does take a special kind of talent to do that kind of shiz!

I bet god goes to strip clubs. I bet he tips good too!

well, you got my attention. I don't particularily endorse the Cookeville strip-club agenda to the extent our zoning board or electorate does, but I'd enjoy discussing the finer points of your statement here in the atmosphere of one. Though I strongly disagree with the idea that it takes any kind of "talent" to work a stripper-pole. Any woman could take her clothes off, and they may consider themselves "dancers," but they are'nt exactly the Moscow Ballet.

Do you think you could climb a pole, do some sort of flip, then spin back down around the pole and make it look, umm, for a lack of a better word, graceful? Without falling or fumbling around? I know I couldn't. I didn't say it was a great talent or one that I would want to have, but still, it's a talent!

no, no, "I" could'nt. But I know it can definately be TAUGHT, I used to date a girl that took stripper-dance classes and had a pole installed just for that purpose in her living room (apparently, if women want to lose weight, they can do so with such stuff. Never had any complaints.) Saying it's not a TALENT is different from saying it's not impressive... I taught myself to quick-draw, but I instinctively knew how to quick-draw the first time I ever tried. I lost every long-jump I ever tried to win, but I can spiut further than anyone I've ever got into a spitting contest with. There is talent, and then there is ability. That's all I'm saying. I can't dunk a basketball, some people can.... etc.... a woman can be taught to twist themselves from an upside-down position to the bottom of a stripper-pole. They can't necessarily be taught to comprehend what they read in a book.
