“He basically testified that he was there at the camping trip [in Williamsburg County], and that he didn't notice anything unuusal taking place”
A former minister at a Murrells Inlet church was sentenced to life in prison without parole Thursday for molesting a boy who was once in his church youth group.
Troy Taylor received the life sentence after a three-day trial in Williamsburg County, said Third Circuit Solicitor Kimberly Barr.
Taylor received another life sentence after being found guilty of kidnapping the boy, she said.
His second life sentence will run after the first one ends, she said.
Taylor received life sentences because he had a previous conviction in Georgetown County for second-degree criminal sexual misconduct, Barr said. Read more

I went to LC3 when this all "came" out....Prior to this coming to LIGHT, I attended the church for several years, and loved it. I had already excepted Jesus as my Lord and savior, however, I was babtized there, and by Troy. I was so sad and delusioned when this all came out. Confused, I left this Church and still don't belong to one today.
I want to go back to this Church because I loved many of the people, and lets face it, perverts are everywhere, look at the Catholic Church...I must admit that I am a bit frightened about the history of this Church....Troy, then Robbie died an untimely death due to his obesity. I attended only a few times when Robbie was pastor, as I found him to be inappropriate with some of his comments about women....
So in the mean time I attended on/off Pawleys Island Community Church, but have found that the people in some of the leader positions to be exactly why I never went to church...very judgemental and don't reach out to those right before they're eyes.....so...do you stay out of Church... or do you attend? Help....Mature Christian advice please!!...the reason I am considering going to LC3 there is a new Pastor, who I know isn't that experieced but I like the style of this Church and frankly I think most of them are corrupt in some fashion....HELP...I have prayed, felt lead to go, then I started reading all this...kinda scary..:)

I have researched this man's trial and he badly represented by his attorney, then was framed by people who were jealous of him and wanted to get rid of him....check out those "closest" to him and their motivation. I am also a Guardian ad Litem and know from 30 years of experience that children can rarely be believed in sexual abuse cases. They are quite often coached or used by those adults seeking to convict someone they have a vendetta against. This man is another Joseph and he will be vindicated one day.

Christians will always let you down. Jesus never will. Don't judge Christianity by the Christians you know...judge it by Jesus. Christians are still sinners (saved by grace). The church was Jesus' idea and still is. Keep going, but keep your eyes on Jesus and not the leaders.
