I worked with Greg for 9 years and he was a wonderful, caring person who cared very much about his family and his town. He was a quite person with great ideas and expectations. He was a good friend and I will miss him very much. My sympathies for his family especially his mother whom he loved very much. May God be close to you in this your time of need.

Greag was a great guy, I got to know him when I worked in Conway. A lot of students liked him and thought a lot of him. I wonder what happened? Was it a heart attack? My heart goes out to his family. May god be with them at this time of need.

My thought and prayers go out to the family of Mayor Martin. Mayor Martin was such a nice man. I'll never forget working with the City of Conway and cleaning your office. I would see you every Monday & Friday. You never failed to stop and thank me for a job well done. You always asked how my doctors visits went when I was pregnant. You wanted to make sure that what I was doing wasn't to hard for me at that time. You are one of those people whom I will never forget. It will not be the same without you here in the City of Conway. You will be missed but never forgotten!!!

I dealt with Mr. Martin when I worked in the residential loan department of a local bank. I found him professional, as well as just being an all around nice guy. My synpathy to his family.

THIS GREAT MAN WILL TRUELY BE MISSED, I HAVE KNOWN MR. MARTIN FOR 10 YEARS. HE TOOK HIS PERSONAL TIME HELPING ME TO FORM AN ADDICTIONS RECOVERY MINESTRY THAT LIVES ON TODAY. GREG WAS MY FRIEND A KIND AND CONCERNED PERSON, CARED ABOUT THE NEEDS OF OTHERS, HIS CHURCH, HIS CITY, AND HIS FAMILY. IT BROKE HIS HEART WHEN HE HEARD OF THE IMPRISONMENT OF MY PASTOR IN RUSSIA. I FELT SAFE IN CONWAY KNOWING THAT HE WAS THE MAYOR. HIS OFFICE DOOR ALWAYS STOOD OPEN FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. HE WAS NOT JUDGEMENTAL TOWARD MY INTERRACIAL MARRAGE, IN FACT HE EMBRACED IT. HE WAS AT EVERY GROUND BREAKING CEROMONY IN CONWAY. IN LOOKING AT HIS LIFE I FELT CONWAY WAS HIS FIRST LOVE INWHITCH GAVE EVERYTHING A PERSON COULD POSIBLY TO HIS COMMUNITY...

Greg was not only deeply devoted to his city, his church and his family, but deeply devoted to his ministry as a chorister at First United Methodist Church, Conway. It was my great pleasure and privilege to serve FUMC as Director of Music for almost two years. Greg was the quiet, but brightly beaming light of the bass section always! He even graciously opened his beautiful home to all 25 of us (plus all our spouses) for our first choir party under my tenure. What an extraordinarily kind, gentle, giving and intelligent man, Greg was. I will miss him forever. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family at this shockingly sad time.

We were told at church this morning that he had gone to the clemsom game and spent the night at his cabin..... he was suppose to meet someone and didn't show, he went over there and broke the door down and found his dead.

I am a seven year resident of Conway, and have nothing but respect and admiration for what Greg has done for Conway. God bless you and your family.

I am thankful of the chance I had to meet Mayor Martin. He recently helped me on the closing of my house.

Very warm, compassionate and professional.

My Thoughts and Prayers are with his family during this very tragic time.

What a fine and respected man, what a loss, All of Conway will miss him. What he did for the city of Conway will remain for years to come.I can"t think of a man or woman that would not be proud to be remembered as I remember our Mayor.
My wish would be to leave a place better than I found it, and to give more than I used. Our mayor surley did this. May god rest his soul and bless his family.

This afternoon as I place the black wreath on the Front of City Hall I had several people stop and tell me of the great man he was and how much he had done for the city and community. I had only met him a few times myself but I could tell he loved his community and was always eager to help when he could. It is a sad time as we mourn his death and celebrate his life.

The guy's name is Danner, but what does he have to do with anything? Keep it in context or keep it to yourself.

Mayor Greg Martin was a silent advocate for Conway, many of the things that Mayor Martin did was often not brought to the public eye, he did it for the love of Conway and for the love of the people who live there, his job as Mayor was not only 9 to 5 but lived in his heart 24 hours a day. After Mr. Martin became Mayor I asked him where he say himself in 10 or 15 years and he said, the Mayor of Conway, as long as they will have me. He will be missed.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Libra

Get organized because that's the best way to be productive today. You're eager to be as efficient and practical as possible, but you won't get very far if you don't know what to do first. So draw up a list of priorities and start with the most urgent. Ideally, you should be left to your own devices while you do all this because that will aid your concentration and self-confidence.
