the good old, free market, tinkle-down economic theory, rich-man capitalist game plays out again. on steroids.

i'm old and there will never be the 'mom and pop' business anymore. There is far too much greed from the few with political connections and dollars to burn that, like it or not, we, the little work a day try to make ends meet 'citizen' is a non-entity. Dang! we're not citizens or people anymore -- we are "consumer units".

If you can't afford to buy big items, well, that's a nobody.

It' just that the system is rigged against the lowly worker. There's some who are doing all right, but perhaps, at the expense of the masses.

Glad i never took up sking.

Oh by the way anyone remember what happened the last time Mr. Fairbank purchased a "sister resort"? RIP Brodie Mountain, Berkshire County sorely mises the "Irish Alps".

If you're so worried about 'mom and pop' businesses, start one.

But I guess it's easier to sit on the sidelines, piss and moan and denigrate those who have been successful.

never been either. Just be happy with your 'understanding' when there are ten corporations owning everything. And if you had any true value, there'd be far too much to do than tiddle on a topix board spouting that "Yeah for the rich corporations" -- all there is left is downsizing. Take a number for better service.

typical video game, MTV, hustler no it all.

can you understand, "get bent"?

yeah, if you could pay attention, you'd see that those few that make it really big do so over and on the backs of the population that are kept so poor they have to live on credit cards and a second mortgage.

Why is it, do you figger, transistor radios, televisions, VCRs and small reliable cars have all been shipped out for other nations to build?

Because corporate titians, along with wall street, make money coming and going. While the average Joe has got to pay all the freight.

Simple minded people think, believe it's politics -- Dem or Rep -- and that EVERYBODY has a chance to make enough money to have few worries.

Yeah... real good for those who've made it. Too bad they left all those workers behind.

And no need for the 'commie' responses. Go read Das Capital,(in the German), then come back to comment.

Ohh... German. I guess now it all makes sense that you don't know THIS language.

Well, freund, why don't you go to the fatherland and see how you like THEIR economy.

at least they care about keeping jobs in that country and and there is, most likely, less corporate/government corruption paid for by the lowly workers/citizens.

Where else but america could a banker get a $15 Million Dollar bonus in the first quarter of the year? AFTER his bank was saved by the taxpayer??

Oh yeah. all obama's fault.
