Space for Bristol police?

Full story: www.etruth.com

The Bristol Town Council would like to give the police department more room and update the town hall, if a way can be found to fund it. "The main issue, before anything can be built, is how to pay for it," said Town Attorney Glenn Duncan. Duncan told the council the $900,000 estimated cost of the project could be funded through a 15-to-20-year municipal lease buy-back program. "The goal is to not use tax dollars for it," said Swallow. Don't you even dare touch the old town hall. We just continue to take down bristol history. Isn't anyone in Bristol going to ever stand up for the soul of this town. When you take away the history of a town you take away the soul of the people.

why not take the space the fire dept was going to use as their party and massage room and let the police use it?

The police department should hold off on spending any money on this project or any other, at least until the town finds out how much it is going to pay out to former police officer Steve Cappelletti. That's right folks, you remember Steve, the officer that Marshal Swallow and Chief Debutant Albin orchestrated the witch hunt for. The same officer that was terminated by the narrow minded town board, for an alleged sexual harrasment suit brought forward by a disgruntled former reserve officer that couldn't accept that he wasn't cut out for police work. Well actually I am sure the town manager or fire chief helped coerce Mr. Holder into initiating the charges since their homophobic personas couldn't handle having a gay police officer on the force. Don't worry fellas, just because the women in town don't want you doesn't mean the gay men do. Well now the town gets to open its rainy day coffers and shell out mucho dinero. Sorry Mary Ryman, guess you're next town-funded new car will be placed on hold for awhile. Sweet poetic justice as I hope someone will publish this story again in the media with the latest outcome...Steve Cappelleti - 1, Bristol - 0. Swallow has no management skills and lets the town folk run the actual department....which is why he hires officers that cannot think for themselves, and why the better officers are no longer there....keep up the good work fellas.

Why don't you come over to the fire department and ask me how I feel about Cappy? I like him and think that he got a raw deal as does EVERYONE else here. So get your facts straight you blabbering idiot. It's real nice of you to involve the fire department. WE are not owned by the town and are pretty much the bastard step children to the board. So thinking we had any influence on anything that was done makes a fool out of you.

It appears the ill advised decision of the medi-care set aka the Bristol Town Council has been overturned. The ship of old fools has been sunk again.

Sounds like listening to the wonderful advise of town counsel Glenn Duncan once again proves to be worthless. You people realize he used to be the attorney for the town of Roseland as well, right? Funny how corruption seems to follow this guy wherever he lands.

Gov. Mitch Daniels to streamline local government with the transfer of township responsibilities of fire protection to county government. The overall aim would be eliminating duplicity and making government more efficient.
