It comes down to money. There are many other bridges that need repair to remain safe, and there just isn't enough demand to make a new bridge, at probably a million dollars, a 'doable' thing.

Carbone did offer to rebuild the bridge...town didnt allow due to the fact that carbone wanted to put a lockedgate on it for his own personal use.
