Metronet is the best. Comcast comes in second. Metronet has a much better ping response and virtually no packet loss. Ping shows how long it takes data packets to reach the host. Metronet ping is always at 19-20ms, hence they rarely have packet loss. Comcast ping is usually around 50-60ms and they lose packets frequently.
Another great things about Metronet is that you don't share your connection with your neighbors, you always get the same download/upload speeds no matter what you neighbors are doing on internet. At Comcast your download/upload speeds vary through-out the day because you are sharing bandwidth with your neighbors.
If you like playing Games on the internet you will want Metronet, especially if you like playing fast paced arcade games where fractions of a second can give you an edge.
For everyday use you will not notice much of a difference between the two. However if you get Comcast and your neighbors hog bandwidth there will be a huge difference.
If you get TV service you will want to think about On-Demand TV Shows & Movies. Comcast as a much bigger library than Metronet. However, Metronet does have most of the popular TV Shows and they keep improving their on-demand over time.
I have only had 1 service disruption at Metronet over a 2 year period. I had 3 service disruptions with Comcast in a 2 year period and this isn't counting counting their tv service cutting out for a couple of seconds 1-5 times every day.
Also, Metronet is not the big Monopoly that Comcast is. Comcast just started a deal with an outside company called the 6 strikes anti-piracy rule, look it up on google. I don't agree with downloading copyrighted stuff, but this is the beginning of the big internet service companies & the government snooping directly on our internet connection. Metronet does not have a bandwidth cap. At Comcast if you go over a certain bandwidth cap they will begin to throttle your download speeds once you hit that cap. Comcast says they don't do it, but they do.

I am being raped by Comcast with $80 fee for internet. I wanted to switch to Frontier but their internet speed is only 1.6Mbs, which is barely above dial up. Comcast is 50Mbs but really I could settle for 25Mbs if there was an option to pay less. Does anyone know where someone in Connersville can get about 25Mbs for like $50 that is NOT a promotional marketing gimmick?
