Spartan Football

My advice, though unsolicited, to the Spartan Football Team is DO NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING BUT A VICTORY IN NEXT WEEKS GAME. You will have wins and losses but do not get hung up in the moment of games that are done and gone. Laser like intensity on the next weeks game plan is what your coaches require from you as players.

Do not misunderstand me, be proud of what you accomplish just remember that excellence is something that has to be gained week in and week out. So savor your success as you earn it but remember no team goes far without prepetration and selfless dedication every day.

You young men are off to a great start. Keep doing what is asked of you by your coaches, parents, and teachers and you will achieve great things.

21-3 connersville won. They started off track on opening kick off & the punt on the first drive didn't work out so well. Scored all the points in the second quarter, with defense getting a fumble recovery & interception.This makes them 3-1, outstanding spartans!

Oh, and before the die hard soccer fan gets on here. When I played football, my teamates respected how much harder the cross country /swimming and wrestle team practiced& played.

Way to go gentlemen, great job. Stay on track and do not lose focus. Continued hard work and dedication will reap the rewards of success that only a true TEAM can realize.
I am certain that I speak for everyone from the past that ever fastened a chinstrap for CHS when I say we are proud of you and in our hearts we wish we could be in the battle with you. Remember that your years wearing the uniform of a Spartan are few, so make the most of every minute of practice, conditioning, and game prep that you can so come game day you will be ready to claim what you have so worked so hard for, VICTORY!
