I heard that Mark passed away today. He fought so hard to beat the disease. He suffered so much but kept a positive attitude. He tried treatment after treatment and gave it his best. Mark you'll always be missed and never forgotten. My prayers are with your family. Thank you for your kindness, sweet smile and being a super role model to all of us that knew you. RIP Mark.

He was a very nice guy, a dedicated dad and a hard worker. So unfortunate that he was taken so soon from his family, especially those two precious little boys.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear this.

Thank you all for the information.

What kind of cancer did he have, and how long had he battled it?

I also see someone mentioned he had children. Did he marry a local girl?

So sad, so young.

Mark had brain cancer. He had fought it for 4 years. His funeral is on Saturday at the Miller Building in Roberts Park. You may pay your respects from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral starts. The funeral is at 3:00 at the Miller Building. He married Meredith Price from Connersville. They have 2 sons. Hope this helps.

I don't think he worked there. Went into the service after graduating from high school. Another obit is in today's newspaper.(Saturday) It's amazing how much he accomplished in his short life. He continued his education even when he was every sick. Mark was a super person.

just wanted to clarify that mark did not want anything held in connersville. he did, however want a memorial held in michigan where he graduated from law school. he did not have a funeral because he was not buried, rather cremated. additionally, he did not have cancer for 4 years. his tumor was benign at diagnosis. it later progressed to a more aggressive form a little over a year before he passed. he was a wonderful husband, father, and friend who is greatly missed!

It's hard to believe Mark didn't want anyone to have a memorial service here in Connersville. Most of his family and friends live here. He would have been so pleased to see the outpouring of love from all his family and friends. Guess you didn't hear about the fire alarm going off twice. As a friend of his on our fire department was coming in. The people at the Miller Center said that had NEVER happened before. I will always believe that it was a signal from Mark letting us know his loving spirit was with us that day. As far as him not having cancer for 4 years what does that matter? The tumor was there all that time. A friend of mine received the same diagnosis. He was told his tumor was benign. But, he died from brain cancer too. May they both rest in peace.
