The state police has the cpd under investigation for non proper procedure and quite a few rumors also about missing drugs that were supposed to be evidance and various other things that have been going on since the 80's. Looks like something might finally get done about it! But the question is will it actually change Connersville? I HOPE SO!!!!

Why doesn't the CPD investigate the State Police and their quota system and their unlawful tactics. You think they are clean, they're not. They are the ones who are self-serving. Some officers with their State owned cars driving everywhere and getting drunk and driving them. They cover for each other.

there is no quota system in the police departments just a old myth. the tickets they write pay their salaries and other things internal in the dept and of course some of it or a lot of it gets wasted on stupid stuff that is overpriced also for the dept. the state of indiana is st screwed up they need all the money they can spend so we dont benefit at all look at the wheel tax, lottery lease of the toll road.....all a waste where is the money going, the same place missing socks go!!! explain that and you are the MAN!!!!

Wonder why a State Police officer told me there was quotas. That darn lying long time officer. See how it goes even they lie. Who can you trust anymore. Tell you what bet I am right cause I do know.

They absolutely do have a quota. That is why the Indiana State Police was able to hire close to 200 rookie officers. All road crew. Thus the new push "obay the signs or pay the fines". Not a secret. It's been on the news. New very young patrol men and women there to target and catch speeders.

I wonder, will there be more police someday then bad guys. They have got to keep that court room full of those bad guys. That income stream needs filled. I wonder if everyone obeyed all the laws would they lay them off. HMM just a thought to ponder. Bet they would pass more laws to catch those dirty crooks. Hey I got an idea pass a law to prevent people from smoking on the streets even in their cars. Oh I forgot some goofy towns did that. Doesn't matter if that car is putting out bad exaust fumes. Get that guy smoking so we can fine his A***.

It will get so bad someday to keep this police engine paid that if you go 2 miles over or under your going to get a ticket. It is a runaway industry at the peoples expense. All this police protection crap is 9-11 spinoff. Protect me protect me. I went into a court house back a while ago in another county and they had 4 police at the door checking people to protect court house employees. That Bin Laden guy sure fixed this country and its freedoms and they can't even find him. Wonder why?

They do not have a quota system. They have MOB (Management by Objective). For example an individual patrolman would be required to arrest X number of DUIs and X number of speeders. If they don't make the numbers they are put on admin status. It is not a quota, people.

This is so funny, hell I know what kind of snakes they are. When their quota is not being made they hang around a bar and follow someone and hope they get a DUI arrest. Make up some probable cause bull. Oh, crossing the center line is the one we use most. Hang around some sign post waiting on someone driving home 5 miles over and write that ticket. HMMM no quota bull s*****. They break the piece instead of keeping it. Their jobs are quota based and keeps the Judicial trough full. Nothing but a self-sustaining business. Pure and simply.

I agree....most of em would rather give a guy a DUI than go home and get a bj. Makes em feel tough and important.
